Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: Boyd Schidt

Boyd Schidt is a techno project of Levan (Leon) Lolishvili, which has appeared on the Tbilisi techno scene since 2010. He is also 1/2 of the project Greenbeam & Leon with Vulkanski. Boyd Schidt's sound covers a wide range of techno in various directions and combines many genres under his signature.
He has been a resident of Club KHIDI since the opening of the club and is one of those who has made a significant contribution in formation of the sound of the club. He is also a family member of the legendary Berlin-based techno label Sonic Groove. He has also released records on many interesting techno labels, such as ((KHIDI, Deestricted, Front Left Records , Kindcrime Recordings Studio R, Wavereform , Diffuse Reality Records , NovaFuture Recordings, KONFLKT)

Fast Forward Audio Series #89: Boyd Schidt

For the Ravers.

RNGD was born in 2018 looking for an honest way to express as a techno artist wiith a refined and underground style, influenced by the classic sound of Techno, showing a deep knowledge and taste through all his works. RNGD sounds halfway between groovy and spacey Techno, a bit minimalist but always ready to rock four-to-the-floor.
Actually he’s releasing music on top techno labels like: Dynamic Reflection, Edit-Select, Illegal Alien, Planet Rhythm, Materia from Marco Bailey and Children Of Tomorrow owned by Arnaud Le Texier, later, in September 2021 he creates his own label, so called RNGD achieving great recognition from top players.
After a busy 2022 plenty of high notes touring around Spain and Europe visiting clubs like Fabrik (Madrid), Gare (Porto) and joining Lanna Club as a resident Dj (later taking part of their artist agency), in 2023 it’s time to release his first LP “Vice and Sacrifice” on Edit-Select, with a heavy support from big artists like Ben Sims or Dj Rolando.

In this thirty-five edition we present again @Hd-Substance, Spanish artist who has great recognition within the global electronic scene thanks to a prolific career and constant activity on several fronts in addition to his main facet as a producer. He has published since the mid-nineties on labels such as Illegal Allien, Detroit Underground, Sonntag Morgen, Dead Cert or Hxagrm Records among many others. Davide Rovito is a veteran of electronic scene since 1985. He developes his attitude with “Passaggi e Mutazioni” a multi medial performance focalized on the social meaning of art in the underground culture. After that he lives for two years in London where he plays and collaborates with “The Institute Of Goa". In '96 he released his first EP on Marco Carola's label "Design Music". From '96 to '98 he was the resident dj at “Livello 57”' in Bologna, where Davide became part of the techno-trio "Random/Noize" performing their live set and running two techno-oriented labels: “Informale” and “De Styl”. From 2000 to 2005 he has been part of the minimal techno project “Defrag Sound Processing”, that was also a label and an open system where to put differents realities associated by the same “noise” and “non conform” attitudes. Now is launching his own new label Tienmcateteng and a collaboration with other labels such as Antiterrarecords (Naples), Webuildmachines (Chicago) and GMR record.

Bio:
Étam, from Barcelona (Spain), was born in Santander but has lived like a globetrotter, spending time in cities like Belgrade, Oslo, Tarragona, and now residing in the Barcelona area. A humble lover of electronic music since childhood, he gradually found his way to deeper, darker techno, where he truly feels at home.
Étam is known for creating long mixes that highlight careful equalization, allowing the music to breathe and take listeners on a sonic journey. In 2022, he and his brother Jorge launched their own record label Loopaina Records, striving to carve out a place in the competitive techno scene, which is dominated by established artists’ labels.

Bio:
Materielle is a Los Angeles-based techno artist whose deep, dub-driven sound draws heavily from the rhythmic syncopations and atmospheric textures of 90s Detroit techno. Fusing elements of heavy, hypnotic basslines with intricate patterns and immersive reverb, Materielle’s music taps into the raw energy and experimental edge of underground techno, with an emphasis on subtle detail and emotional depth. 
A self-taught producer with a decade-long career in music technology, Materielle has cultivated a distinctive sonic palette shaped by the teachings of pioneering artists like Rødhåd, Claudio PRC, and Richie Hawtin. The project’s name, Materielle, is inspired by the delicate art of weaving—an analogy for the artist's approach to music, where sound is crafted through layers and textures, much like fabrics are woven together to create something new. 
Since 2019, Materielle has honed her craft as a DJ, transitioning seamlessly into production with her track singles, Satin and Organza on Delusional Records and the release of her debut EP, Fabrique on Northern Parallels. The EP, which features the tracks Nylon and Neoprene, with remixes from Mike Derer and Raytek, has garnered attention for its unique blend of hypnotic grooves and emotionally charged atmospherics. Materielle’s recent release, a remix of Orly Gal’s track, The Man Without a Face, was chosen by Beatport for their November 2024 Techno Shortlist (peak/driving), further solidifying her growing presence in the techno scene. In early 2025, she contributed the track Kevlar to the Synthetik Minds VA Compilation, a benefit release supporting Los Angeles fire relief efforts. The compilation features a lineup of major artists from across the global techno scene, underscoring Materielle’s commitment to both artistic collaboration and community impact. 
Through her work, Materielle invites listeners to immerse themselves in a world of intricate sound design, where the boundaries between space and rhythm blur, creating a meditative yet driving experience. With an approach rooted in both technology and art, Materielle continues to explore the intersection of sound, texture, and human emotion within the ever-evolving techno landscape. 
Materielle has played LA Compound, Re/Form, SXTCY, Bang Bang SD, Techno Taco Tuesday Las Vegas, and various LA undergrounds. She has supported Daria Kolosova, Ryan Elliott, Lindsey Herbert, Annika Wolfe, and Nur Jaber.
