Electro Boogie (episode 13: special guest mix by Scape One)

Uhf is a spanish duo, founded by techno dj/producer José Castillo aka Milford and David Aragón, a highly respected djs in the electronic scene of Madrid. Together they've created electro beats and idm, which mixed with old school tunes, with european influences in nineties, and it undoubtfully offers a taste of Detroit. Their first single was released in 2014 and included in a great compilation of their own label Gladio Operations, along with renown artists as Boris Divider, ERP and Luke Eargoggle, among others.

Omen's Twilight

Part of the future never dies. And as owner of the long-running Cultivated Electronics label, Phil Bolland's been making sure that the electro sound pioneered in the early-80's by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Afrika Bambaataa (among others) remains the forward-thinking dancefloor ammunition it always has been.

Since starting the label in 2007 (though he's been releasing music on other imprints since 2003), Bolland's dedication to the genre has been unwavering. Electro has fallen in and out of fashion over the years, but it seems to be enjoying another purple patch of late. Recent music from stalwarts such as DJ Stingray and The Exaltics and newcomers like Shanti Celeste prove it's a style that continues to find favour with dancefloors over 30 years since its inception.

This exclusive mix from Sync 24 hammers the point home - featuring contemporary material from the likes of Marco Bernardi, J.T.C. and Truss as well as a number of unreleased and forthcoming tracks, it's a heady, focused ride from start to finish that proves electro continues to remain the potent force it always has. The foundations and the aim of this project are exactly the same of the 808 Box, but this time Alek Stark wanted to focus the attention on some of the artists who helped to build and develop the sound of modern Electro music. Consideration was also given the artists of present and the future of our beloved genre, Underground Electro Music.

Electric Eclectics includes 21 high-quality vinyl records, mastered and cut at 45 rpm for the best sound and dynamics. Each of the first 18 records is dedicated to one artist, the other 2 are in advance of the second part of this project next year. This is more than 3 hours. The total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. Alek also always includes an extra record, this time Electro music master Arpanet, who will have a 7" vinyl record within the box set.

This mix is about 80 minutes but the total length of the 20 records is almost 9 hours of pure Electro music. You do not want to miss this extremely limited release.

Next to making music also founder of Mechanism. A Detroit techno & electro concept in Amsterdam running for more then 10 years now with multiple party's at awesome locations in the past decade.

I’ve been spinning jams now for the past 25 years as a DJ and still love doing this! A couple of years ago I finally decided to take matters into my own hands when I found a broken Juno 106 in my dad’s attic. Since then I’ve submerged myself and bought a lot more gear and have been practising day and night. It wasn’t an easy quest to find my own sound, but I feel I’m finally getting somewhere.
