Recover is a song that tells the fictional story about a boy named Everett Thorne who was raised in a research facility for winged children. Most of the staff here has no idea what research they're actually doing on the patients or how harmful the research is proving to be. Everett is a rare type of winged folk known as a "fragmented" type. It was the result of an infection he suffered when he was very young. Fragmented types have trouble flying because their wings never fully develop, and researchers wanted to find a cure for that. However, their methods weren't very safe, especially because this is the first time they attempted something like that. Everett slowly realizes how bad this facility is, and when he turns 14, he tries to burn it down. He was not successful, so he tries to fly away with all the strength he can manage, but ends up falling close enough to the facility for researchers to bring him back.

This song tells the fictional story about Kali Anders, and is a continuation of Everett's story from Recover.
