First full track with a new workflow learning Reaper. This is a compressed mix meant for listening in noisy environments. The original mix has a high dynamic range and that will go up somewhere else.

Just a small segment of a recording of a thunderstorm with distant lightning and light rain. This could be used as ambience in a game, some music, or even just listening if you like the sound of thunderstorms.

Thunderstorm Loop

So I've taken some more time to really dig deeper into what makes mixing and mastering work, and given a good amount of tweaking and a whole lot of very significant changes, I have another revision. The last one focused on the stereo field, while this one focuses more on the field of frequencies, how they interact between instruments, and how we perceive them as they change over time. In working around these concepts, I've introduced better blend, more clarity, and hopefully an overall better sound. What do you think?

I've done a remaster of this because the original master was too muddy for the melody to come through. This became apparent when I finally set up my speakers again.

As tensions rose between the headstrong, and the divergent, a meeting was called in which relations between the genres of Classical and Electronic would be discussed. The meeting was a disaster, and war broke out between the two factions. As the battle raged on, hopes were high that the allied forces of Metal and Hip Hop would be able to settle this whole debacle once-and-for-all.

Here's a track that I started during a live stream of a little messing around! The original iteration devolved into a mess of memes and jokes right at the end because I didn't know where to take it and wanted to have a little fun. This, however, is no joke. You've just narrowly escaped a heated battle with your ship barely intact. The automated repair modules are working overtime to bring life back to your engines, which look surprisingly not unlike swiss cheese. You're safe, for now, and you ain't got nothing but time before the engines are functional. Until then, you have all the time in the universe to take in the beauty of open space.

Adrift in the Solar Planes

After quite a lot of tweaking, I managed to get my legato string sections to sound kinda like staccato. The hardest part was to avoid compressor chugging, which more or less required that I manually ramp up the velocity of every staccato note. Quite a pain. Would be a lot nicer just to have staccato strings in the first place and would definitely sound better too.

An hommage to my favorite character in Deltarune, Susie. This is sort of a mashup of "Vs Susie" and "Before the Story" because I thought they went together surprisingly well!
I originally did this as a practice session to relearn how to play guitar, but I liked it so much I decided to make it a much fuller song. Enjoy!
