U.T.I (Unhappy Troubled Idiot)

This is loosely based off my own poodle. The girl is fixed but all those boy dogs follow her! I’ve had neighbors ring my bell because their dog wants to play with her and led them to my house. There was even a love triangle as two boys liked her and hated each other. 
Ah, my little popular poodle!

(P.S. I don’t actually think pugs are ugly. They’re cute and squishy!)

I wanted to write a song about weeping willows. Somehow it turned into this whole story about a man, engaged to a debutant, but he’s doing it out of obligation. While the singer (my mother says she’s “swamp girl” from Where the Crawdads Sing. I never watched or read it, so I’ll take her word for it) is the real one he’s into, as she lures him away from his own engagement party to the willow trees. 
That’s what I imagine, anyway.
