Produced, composed and arranged by Azure (Alan Inglis). This music was used for segments explaining the technical features of the sports in the televising of the Games throughout the world. Elements such as movement, posture, and the energy of each of the sports were taken into consideration to create the feeling of each of the sports. Whilst the music needed to be thematically representative of each sport, it had to also be able to sit behind narration and for the most part not contain too much variation. After the Olympics, Alan received commendation from the President of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) and Minister for the Olympics, the Hon. Michael Knight, for his professionalism and for how appropriate the music was.
