04 - Susie

(Due to your curiosity, Ralsei decided to show you something that would answer a question or two of yours. In your sight is what seems to be a "town", small houses stand by distances from each other, filling the empty space left. There often can be observed a lot of scrap details and metal parts lying around, waiting to be used by who seems to be only person left in this territory.)
(As you, Susie and Ralsei explore the dying settlement, you find something of interest. Before you stand rusty, out of shape, abnormally tall gates, they signify importance, preparation for something that is beyond these eye-catching doors.)
(Ralsei walks up to them and speaks out.)

(Ralsei) * To save your world from dying means to "purify" ours. 
Or rather, destroy, as you understood. 
Not far from here, in another castle, there is a curse that takes the form of a "fountain". 
We must seal it to stabilize the balance for now.
(Susie) Wait, "we"? You're going with us?
(Kris) * So you do want help us out!
(Ralsei) * Oh yes, that reminds me.
Before we get going, I wish to explain something to you two.
I have lived for a long time now, collecting knowledge and amusing myself all alone. 
It hasn't been the best life for me, I have not had any company for quite a while. 
Which is why your appearance makes me feel delighted. And yet...
(Susie) * Yet...?
(Ralsei) * ...the ancient writing implies that we, DARKNERS, have no purpose.
We exist just to be.
This is why we are here, in the present moment, standing in front of these grand gates. 
I will help you save the world. This will be my purpose.
(Kris) * Jeez, you don't have to make it so poetic just to say you wanna help us.
(Ralsei) * Well I- uhh-

(Ralsei opens the gates and goes into the obscure. You probably shouldn't have said what you said, maybe it was a little rude to him? It's too late to ponder about that now.)

(Susie) * He seems... troubled, let's catch up to him.
