Our entry to the Bleeding Fingers Contest from Hans Zimmer spring 2014.
The percussion-, synth- and vocal samples have been used in this track. Added some minor-to-major chord progressions, electric guitars, acoustic bass and a majestic Vangelis-like lead, in purpose to create a grand finale :)
We really enjoyed participating and listening to what fellow composers on Soundcloud have done with the same source material!

Every Single Day

This track was loosely inspired on a classical piano work 'Canto Ostinato.' I really love this piece, but it's a little too static to my taste. Therefore I added a 7/8 measure, a chorus & bridge and a pinch of symphonic rock to it ;)

Canto Ostinato revisited - TML

Born on the island of Schiermonnikoog, my musical journey started on the local village church organ. In my high school years I bought an antique honky-tonk piano with baroque cupper candles. During college years in Groningen, my love for New Wave music became influenced by the raw energy of symphonic rock. I performed in various rock bands such as Icarus and Leader. In my early twenties my musical friend for life Hans introduced me to the magical world of home recording. Together we formed  the composer duo "Two Men Left" (two lefthanded musicians, lol). After almost 25 years we still collaborate, making use of the internet and two almost identical home recording studios. Much of my recent work on Soundcloud was produced by TML.
