“I'd like to share how I inspired me to create tracks and why Felicette.
Felicette is the first cat to visit space. Electrodes were implanted into her brain to control her condition during the flight. Upon her return, Felicette was taken to CERMA, where she was studied for two-three months.
Unfortunately, she was euthanized to continue her research. This story makes you wonder about the cost of scientific advancement, and how we treat animals in their quest for new knowledge.
I wish her name was never forgotten first release will be dedicated to her

UK duo Waze & Odyssey join Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint with an epic new single entitled ‘Shape’ featuring e1even Records duo No Rules on remix duties.

Hailing from the UK, Waze & Odyssey’s recent appearances include Relief, Unknown To The Unknown and Edible, not to mention W&O Street Tracks - their own renowned imprint that’s hosted names like Groove Armada, Citizenn, Mella Dee and Ejeca. Whilst the pair have no doubt earned their stripes as producers and A&Rs, they’ve also cemented a reputation as standout DJs, playing at top venues like Panorama Bar, Fabric, Amnesia, as well as festivals such as Glastonbury, Hideout and Bestival.

‘Shape’ kicks things off using a combination of cosmic pads, plucky bass synths and wandering arpeggios to create a visceral aesthetic from start to finish. British producers No Rules then reinterpret ‘Shape’, delivering a laid back cut complete with a pulsating low-end, looped piano stabs and guitar-like strums to close the package.

Madtech welcome Ray Mono, Kreutziger, Devv and Azteca to the label in late May to mark the latest in their self-titled Various Artist series.

A staple name for many within the industry, Madtech Record’s evolution since its formation back in 2012 as a sister label to the legendary Madhouse has seen the label welcome a host of top tier names to its catalogue whilst also helping to establish a number of those artists at the beginning of their careers. Having recently welcomed Cologne native DJOKO to deliver his impressive ‘Alpha Centauri’ EP in March, the Madtech Records camp look to keep things moving here with fresh new V/A installment in their self-titled series as they reveal fresh cuts from four of the genres most exciting up-and-coming talents.

Liverpool based artist Ray Mono kicks things of with the snaking and shuffling ‘Dissonance Theory’ as loose, rolling polyrhythms work alongside a warm bassline, before handing over to Amsterdam duo Kreutziger who employ dubby chords, punchy kicks and crisp hats throughout ‘After Midnight’. Next, Canadian talent Devv’s ‘What’s So Different’ takes the energy up a notch, fusing skipping percussion beneath resonant chord and pad swells, before handing over to Romanian DJ / producer Azteca as he closes out the package with a restrained, smooth blend of bumping sub-bass and well worked drum arrangements.
