For the inaugural episode of the 'Darkroom Presents' podcast series, we're delighted to host a fantastic mix by Suddi Raval. 

There's not much that Suddi doesn't know about electronic music, he's literally written the book about it, with his highly successful 'A Brief History of Acid House.' As part of 'Together', he released 'Hardcore Uproar' in 1990 which smashed warehouses and clubs across the country. Now releasing EPs under his own name, this mix features, for the most part, both new and currently unreleased  tracks which champion his unique, space aged electro sound. Just a mix of smooth and summery tracks (to my mind).

Imagine you're lying in a meadow against a tree, on a sultry summer's evening, a massive blue sky above your head, beyond the canopy giving you the littlest amount of shadow to remain comfortable. Day, turns to night, turns to day again while you soak comfortably in the warm weather, not a care in the world.

It's my first mix, so there may be some rough edges. Comments, suggestions, criticism appreciated!

Stockholm duo “Avancera”, consisting of Dorisburg and Kalawila, explores the void with their debut EP. Over five releases, Stockholm label Mountain Explosion Device had made its intentions clear—to release the absolute best in subtly morphing, psychedelic techno. Its sixth release is no different. The A-side displays rogue frequencies seeping through an ominous office building, as fully automated cleaning bots pass each other through revolving doors. “Skogenräna” adds an addictive percussion-based venture into the feral forests of their native Sweden. The remix comes courtesy of Berlin based
wonderchild Mor Elian. A mind bending desert trip from one of the most exciting producers out there.

Slope Point continues to broaden its catalog, expanding its variety of sounds and betting on discovering new producers. In the tenth release of the label, Slope Point brings us from Poland to Piotr Cackowski under his alias Zeu5. Three songs will contain ‘Roads to Nowhere’,  where he bets on a dazzling sound with restless and frenetic rhythms. The elaborate rhythmic structure proposed by Zeu5 makes his tracks distance themselves from the classic dub techno, caressing sounds closer to deeptechno and techno. 'Roads To Nowhere' opens with a homonymous track, in which Zeu5 embarks us on a spiral of luminous sounds, creating a deep atmosphere where percussion and echoes majestically intertwine to delve into a mystical landscape. In ‘Dar 349’, El Piotr proposes an unbridled tempo, with a powerful drum machine, incessant echoes and deep chords, that slide our mind to the dance floor we long for so much. "Wir" is the last song, where the succession of echoes and prolonged pads surround us to show us the more melancholic side of Zeu5.
