Friday 13th is unlucky for some, but not today as we have a brand new edit from the boys of the hour TheBens, who are treating us all to a stomper we can sink our teeth into this weekend 🦷 

Since releasing their hugely successful Black Eyed Peas Edit with us way back in March 2020, TheBens have been an unstoppable force in the minimal scene going from strength to strength and landing releases on labels such as Selecta Records and Koma Recordings, all whilst successfully running Groovment who have thrown some mad parties, with undoubtedly more to come🎈

Taking it back to the norties this weekend, the boys have come through with a classic we all knew growing up and added their own unique spin to deliver their signature groove that never disappoints! Clever and playful use of that recognisable vocal combined with a driving bassline and atmospheric pads makes for one hell of a tune that will blow ya mind off straight off the bat🤯

It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome the boys back on the label after so long, and having them back doing what they do best 💣

Two voices bark like briefcase pitbulls—authority vs. defiance—spitting the same recycled script until the baby’s laugh tears it apart. That laugh is the mirror: innocence cracking, future hijacked, a lullaby fed through a meat grinder. The kick doesn’t “support the groove”; it stamps a boot on the podium. Hats cut like glass. Bass sits low and patient like a bomb under the table. No sermons. No permission slips. No PR polish. Dance first; argue later.

This is for the dancefloor kids who learned to read the world in strobes: for the ones who’ve been told to lower the volume, to be “reasonable,” to swallow the script and clap. No thanks.
Raise your chin. Middle-finger the teleprompter. Let the room sweat. Let the break hold its breath like a lie about to burst. When the drop hits, don’t be delicate—be undeniable.
