With the sound of Drumcode’s 15 Year anniversary still ringing in the ears of those who attended one of the labels special tour events or bought the commemorative compilation, Adam Beyer’s seminal Techno label dusts down the bunting and rolls out the party banners once again this month to celebrate the labels landmark 100th release. With such longevity being a mark of the consistency that has come to define Drumcode’s output over the years, it is highly appropriate that this milestone occasion be marked by releasing two new Adam Beyer tracks, The Color Out Of Space and Lovecraft, a collaboration with Ida Engberg, that follows up her Blue Yonder EP from September 2011

Drumcode mark their landmark 100th release with a two-track EP that comes directly from the heart of the label’s operation. Just as with the label’s first release sixteen years ago, Adam Beyer positions himself at the controls, unleashing the shimmering ‘The Color Out Of Space’ with its euphoric melody riding on the back of nagging chords and booming kick. A product of Beyer’s studio collaboration with Ida Engberg, ‘Lovecraft’ takes its place on the b-side, cutting a trippy journey through distinctive chord patterns and undulating melodies that bounce around in the mix, underpinned by a heads-down groove.

This journey gets straight to the point with the title alone. Just as approaching prey covered by the darkness of night, the snarling synth slowly lurks closer while the loop of hypnotic tones and pulsing drums keep the mark focused and unwitting of its true motive. When it finally shows its teeth, freedom is long gone. Panther has sunk in and forgets any intention of surrender. Wave the white flag. It's an exquisite feeling to be eaten alive.

After the success of the first A-sides compilation in 2012, Adam Beyer has decided its time to release another. With Adam’s stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo’s that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks each, consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode’s core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

<p>A welcomed return to Pornopraphic by Mr. Carlos Beltran, as he unleashes this threefold Techno attack starting with the hypnotic &#8220;Look Down&#8221;. The rocksteady drums clear everything in their path letting cavernous effects fill the air while pitched-down vocals set a commanding tone. The same vibe continues in &#8220;Upshock&#8221; where a discordant riff steals the spotlight and a pounding rhythm section provides the perfect backdrop for sonar-esque beeps. &#8220;To The Limit&#8221; closes the EP with an optimistic bassline and very persistent cymbal work, while the groove constantly evolves.</p>
