One day I got a message, "Hey mate, I'm going to be in Prague for a couple of days with my girlfriend, let's go for a beer and how about we do some music?" I was so happy! I agreed with friends from Never Enough that we would stream from their streetwear shop / bar on Sunday night when normally the Breakbeat Conference is on. Tom (Evil Nine) played on his own for the first 40 minutes (you can hear a track from his new album, which will be released next year!) and then we started a classic b2b set of two tracks each (although not exactly every time). We had no concept, just played the music we're listening to these days and a slow increase in tempo. A few friends and family came by and we tasted some awesome bourbon. All in all, it was a great night. Hopefully you can feel it from this mix :)

This new mix showcases the sound I hear in my head when I think about a beautiful hybrid of breakbeat, techno and electro. It's also representative of the kind of Elite Force sets you'll hear from me in the live arena, as I return to the fray in 2023 after a four-year absence!

To craft a mix that had the exact feel I was looking for, I used 24 tracks in some shape or form, pulling many of them apart, rearranging them and adding liberal ly from my own extensive sample library. This set includes 11 Elite Force VIP edits, several acapellas / acidapellas and lashings of breakbeat-techno-electro love.

Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to the massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling "Feeling Kinda Strange" till late 2013 with their "Get Up and Dance EP" on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

This LIVE mix was recorded at the Winter Break Festival by Triple J Radio Australia back in 2004.

With a huge back catalogue of music Koma and Bones paved the way in the Nu Skool Breaks scene in the early 2000's with hit after hit including the tune Morpheus on the TCR label. They were a three man outfit from the north west of Britain (Lancaster), comprising of the dj'ing duo Koma & Bones (Andy Duckmanton & Chris Kirkbride) and former drum and bass producer Proteus (Jude Sebastian).

Now manned singularly by Jude Sebastian, Koma & Bones will be releasing some brand spanking new material in the near future…..

Koma & Bones - The Breakbeat Show Kiss 100 - 2.2.2002

Two tiny ladies with big personalities and shared passion for all music from disco, house, electro, breaks and anything with big bass! When Madame Electrifie and Mini da Minx finally met, they realised that they could be twins. They teamed up for the very first time at the 2018 Christmas edition of Chix in da Mix at The Magic garden for a 2-hour back-2-back session and they blew the roof off completely! The mischievous duo then went on to take the 2019 festival season by storm and together brought the house down at Shindig, Beatherder, Cirque de la Quirk at the Isle of Wight and Shambala, and covered the rest of the major festivals such as Wilderness, Womad, Truefest and Glastonbury as solo artists.

On top of that they were exclusive DJs for a series of Adidas Rockstars events across the UK this summer, with Madame Electrifie going on to rep the brand in Germany. With 2020 firmly out of the way these pocket rockets are set to step things up once again. As an extra Christmas present you catch them streaming live worldwide on Twitch and Mixcloud on Boxing Day.
With a mountain of festivals, international tours, event management and production credits between them – these two can both hold their heads high on the scene, and as long as they have a box to stand on, the two of them together is going to be all kinds of trouble. But which one is the evil one??

It is with great pleasure that we present to you a rare DJ mix from the duo. Covid hasn’t stopped them putting together this funky mother!! This is what LSM is all about … we have disco, we have mashups, we have bass and a cheeky classic or two for good measure. This is a must have for the festive, party soundtrack.

2020 has been bad for the social calendar but as soon as Evil Twin get back behind the decks again, trust us, we will let you know!
