This song is sang by Birdy, one of my favorite singers who give big influence in my music. I don't know the real meaning exactly what the real meaning of the lyric. From my perspective, it talks about a girl who in love and been loved by someone. The girl is always  hiding and hurting, and the man see the girl beyond all her strange and lonely appearance. Then the girl want to be with him. And the girl want to make the relationship worked.
