Retro Ringtone 2: Pick Up The Phone

Snowfall

A “pirate battle theme” like track. Short and sweet with two different phases. The first being focused on a more adventurous yet treacherous feel, while the second is more akin to an actual battle between ships, invoking more of a “dramatic swashbuckling” into the track.

Although I did have the phases planned when I started making this, I just kind of winged it with this track lol. Hence why it’s pretty short.

High Seas & High Stakes (Phases 1 & 2)

A video game-y “Victory!” sort of track but with my own take on it. 

Shout out to the Persona series’ music style for my initial inspiration for the track in general, and to Auvic’s music style for inspiring the solo that plays about halfway through the track.

A Job Well Done! / Mission Success!

Just like an ocean wave, there’s calm waters and rushing waters. I try to show that in this track by using a constant chill but rhythmic tone throughout the track. Then pick up the pace by adding some drums, hi-hats, and stuff, getting more complicated as it goes along. But then I return to the more calming part soon after, as to retain the “loop” of ocean tides. A type of “in-and-out” process you could say.

Inspired by Nujabes, and Mario Bros Wonder (sort of), only in that it reminded me that oh yeah, I haven’t tried to make a “dreamy” type track yet lol.

I’m really proud of this one, and I’m going to come back to it to add sound effects and background vocals to fill the transition parts and whatnot.

More samples, more problems, but also more fun! Fr tho, I really like what I was able to cook up, especially in the beginning. I could tell I was running out of ideas the further I stretched it tho lol. ENJOY‼️

Strings inspired by Gravity Rush’s ost, and the dialogue is from a short conversation between Shulk and Dunban from the beginning of Xenoblade Chronicles 1.
