 'I could have tried more' is a song about a past relationship. He admits that he 'could have tried more' (we can all admit to that!), but ' you weren’t sure, what was left to restore.' 

So, he was not sure if there was anything worth fighting for. 'No signs, no information, no last-minute conversation' suggests they had stopped communicating, and then it’s all over. Very sad and a familiar story.

Life is full of tough choices, and trust is a big issue. This is a powerful song about mistrust and communication and how it hurts. With raw emotion, heartfelt lyrics, and a soul-stirring melody, this track is a reminder that communication is everything (so I'm told!). Maybe he should have written a song for her, or a poem?

I could have tried more

Known for his R&B/Soul, Indie, Pop style that has continuously alternated between heart centered and care-free lyrical elements, Blaxian (“Blay•Zhn”) is a singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, and creative director. 

Growing up in Uptown, Washington, D.C. with both African American and Filipino cultural backgrounds, he learned how to play piano, drums and bass guitar with the guidance and teachings of his musically inclined family tree. With R&B/Soul music being a heavy influence for him, Blaxian was also raised in church alongside his father, introducing Gospel music into his musical world.

In particular, his father is an immense influence to his musical career due to his own multi-talented abilities within the musical world as well. During his high school days, he showed the interest in joining the choir, inspiring him to seriously pursue his music career. 

Jumpstarting his musical journey as a producer, his love for music sparked an evolution. Blaxian started much of his self-taught musical career at 14 years old, and is committed to growing and evolving within his lifelong passion and only life purpose — music.
