bijū arose from the need to explore the intersection of machine and body, the need to blur the boundaries between dehumanized electronic sound and the natural environment. Its selection is a constant search between minimalist and dense, dynamic and slow, sharp and blurry sounds. Inspired by the vibration of synthesizers enriched by echoes emanating from the abyss, transforms the soundscape into a psychedelic spectacle.
As part of the Warsaw based Ukrainian collective SUMISH wants to strengthen interactions between people through synergies, exchange of vision and knowledge, building bridges between the migrant community and local society through the different creative disciplines. 
His latest LP "Land of Abundance" was released on Berlin based Sons of Traders Records. Curator of “Healing Machine” radio show on Mutant Radio, dedicated to slow-rolling experimental music.

MACHINE HEALING w. bijū x Avant Art Festival 2022 (live dj set). “Today’s mix is a part of an audiovisual project that took place in Warsaw in September 2022 within the frame of Avat Art Festival in collaboration with SUMISH collective. The performance aimed to present emotions and experiences in a state of crisis, showing how the situation in Ukraine affects creativity and changes the way artists see tomorrow. During the event were displayed the field recordings from Ukraine from those pre-war and post-war times therefore the shadow of the artist on the screen was symbolizing that part of us that is always with the homeland.”

Warsaw-based Ukrainian dj, producer and lover of slow-burning (sentence sponsored by rizla papers) outsider electronics who has been under our radar for quite some time.

Lately Bijū has been performing daring dj sets regularly on tested venues such as Jasna1 and slowly around everywhere he delivers us a special mix for curious ears. 

Beyond playing records, his latest LP "Land of Abundance" was released on Berlin based Sons of Traders Records. Keep also an eye on his ‘Healing Machine’ radio show on Mutant Radio, dedicated to slow-rolling experimental music.

Warsaw-based engineer, DJ, young amateur of raw and outsider electronics. As a selector focusing primarily on multidimensionality of sounds, the minimalist ones and dense, dynamic and steady, penetrating and blurred. A disturbing selection, inspired by the aggressive sounds of synthesizers and vocals emanating from the abyss, transforms the dance floor into a witches’ sabbath. 

The roots of incessant searching for a new sound goes from the independent radio shows, discovered in early teens, broadcasting on the internet basically local indietronica and post-punk, while in his hometown in Odessa it was really difficult to find some clubs supporting independent culture. As he claims, addiction to musical discoveries became his shelter from the crushing pop culture and instead to thank for it he started to share and spread the most interesting of them. More than a year ago he realized that DJing might be the most interesting way of sharing, therefore associated himself with the @halopopierdol collective - DIY events organized in various parts of Warsaw. On parties he focuses on the more robust, energetic and forthright end of his music collection while in his radio show tries to represent more obscure styles of music that unfortunately can still sound controversially in a local club space. The author of the new @gnostic_methods broadcast, dedicated to slow - rolling industrial and experimental music - every first Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. on Radio Kapitał. In his singles, released for charity compilations on Glamour.label and Radio Kapitał platform, still tries to find his own sound. 

Daniel’s mix, in his own words, is reaching the aesthetic of undefined emotions between commotion and anger, sublimity and thrill, which, along with noisy basslines and muddy drums, brings us into hypnotic exploration of the intersection of machine and body that makes you feel imminently breakable, but also as though your physical form will endure, one way or another, and for better or for worse, no matter what's done to it. Also an important element is the included track of late 80’s avant-garde band Cukor Bila Smert’ from Koka Records, which is a Poland-based label featuring indie music from Ukraine. The importance is to remind how the real "underground" of the Eastern bloc sounded before the influence of Western rave model, which nowadays gave this word completely different associations.

Jako selektor koncentruje się głównie na wielowymiarowości dźwięków - jego selekcja to poszukiwanie między minimalistycznymi, a gęstymi, dynamicznymi i powolnymi, ostrymi i rozmytymi brzmieniami. Godzinny eksperymentalny podcast jego autorstwa przenosi nas do ciemnych piwnic lat 80-tych.
