The first time I had the idea to remix this outstanding song was in 2002. But my studio skills and musical abilities at that time were a long way from mastering this challenge. 2011 I made the first attempt of a reconstruction and new interpretation of „A Forest“. While I did it, I had to realize that the original tempo is astonishing 159 BPM. Fast enough for a proper Drum and Bass edit. Would the tune work much slower? I would say it does. Now this is the second attempt another 14 years later…

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Paragon" with a shuffling, mechanical groove. Iron clanks and warped metal hits show a creative way to provide the lead sounds in this funky and tribal-influenced cut with raw energy.

As part of our mission to connect the world with a global techno sound - We are releasing one of the first ‘Concept’ Techno Records.
