I wrote this over 6 years ago and only recorded it some time last year. The recording of it was only to practice my mixing. The home studio at my apartment was only using a usb mic suited for podcasts so I wanted to try to make it sound decent. That doesn't take away the pleasure I had writing and rapping this verse because the nostalgia is genuine and it does have two of my favorite lines I've written in a while, "making ends the only way to start, searchin for a change of heart". Purposely making it sound like "surgeon for a change of heart" for the double entendre. Also "stealing beats off of sound click had to utilize, got the audacity we decide what we do in life." Because it was true and audacity was the program we used to record. Even though there's no substance for punchlines these were just meant to real which is what I loved so much about this even years later. This song isn't for trying to be heard or validated, this was truly just for me.
