Our next live recording comes from longtime festival friend and collaborator Wax Material.

The Wax Material van has been a quirky corner of the festival for six years, growing from selling records into a space that’s hosted some of the best DJs Gottwood has to offer.

As this is the first time Wax Material has played a stage other than the van, it felt only right to have this set as part of the mix series. Jessie’s set on the Lighthouse was just as you’d imagine, broad, eclectic and full of deep cuts. It showcased her knack for selecting amazing and unique records that kept the crowd  locked in throughout.

We’re excited to welcome her to the mix series, as the Wax Material and Gottwood stories are intertwined. Her taste and style shine through in her selections, crossing garage, house, broken beat and minimal.

With the season drawing to a close, this mix is the perfect way to look back on what’s been an incredible year of music and look ahead to what’s on the horizon for next summer’s Gottwood.
