VISLA returns to Critical Music with another four-track EP of uncompromising drum & bass.

Not for the faint of heart, ‘Contemporary’ crafts raw sonic aggression into art with its malevolent stretching bassline, head-thumping stabs and incessant sample chops.

‘Bones’, alongside Lavance, ratchets up the energy further in equally powerful fashion, while title track ‘Ultaviolence’ featuring Foreign Beggars’ PAV4N, melds shaking breaks with extreme sound design.

Closing the EP in far smoother - yet no less tough - mood, VISLA links with Koherent for ‘Everytimeuluv’, layering a touch of soul over mangled synths and a brutally precise stepping rhythm.
