Welcome to the sounds of the BA in Contemporary and Popular Music at Newcastle University, UK (UCAS: W301).  On this site you can listen to tracks created by undergraduates, postgraduates and staff, and a combination of all three.  

The BA is a creative and intellectually challenging three year degree that explores 20th and 21st Century Musics.

Based in the International Centre for Music Studies (ICMuS) the course emphasises 'the contemporary', and encourages creative exploration in performance, composition and songwriting, in combination with critical, intellectual engagement.
