April 16th sees the inaugural Scottish House & Disco Festival landing at SWG3 in Glasgow, we are going to be covering the festival heavily in the coming month talking to many of the artists appearing at the event.

First up is Irish collective @queenanddisco and we can't think of anyone better to start proceedings. We have been keeping an eye on these renowned party starters for a few years now as they continue to build a reputation for their high octane mix sessions be it from their live events or their lockdown streams during the height of Covid.

Their appearance at the Scottish House & Disco Festival gives us the perfect opportunity to get them in for a long overdue chat about their career to date and what we can expect when we catch them live. To top it all off they have put together a barnstormer of a mix to kick off our festival mixtape series. Our new guest is Melchior Sultana. A Life dedicated to music. Beautifully talented Melchior Sultana, born in Malta in 1986, is a composer and multi instrumentalist. Growing up in an atmosphere of rich traditions, culture and arts in the middle of the Mediterranean can deeply sculpt a spirit. Melchior Sultana represents music as an art with no boundaries.

As a multi instrumentalist playing Guitar, Piano and Bass, Melchior Sultana is involved in various projects from classical to contemporary to Live band and electronic music productions. Melchior Sultana performed live at some of the most prestigious places from Cafe Del Mar in Malta to Panorama Bar, Berghain, IPSE in Berlin and Rex Club Paris. Previous works show the wide musical vocabulary of this artist and his open mentality approach to music.

Sune is a producer, label owner and DJ hailing from the coastal city of Malmo, Sweden. Back in 2017 Sune appeared on the Icelandic label Lagaffe Tales in "Tale of Tales: Chapter 2" with his dusty disco groover 'I'Il Be Right Back“, followed up by his celebrated 12" debut "8 Till Late EP" on the Australian etiquette Kyoku Records shortly thereafter.

In present time, Sune is afﬁliated with arguably some of the most influential labels in the house scene of today, with releases on Let's Play House, Apparel Music, Better Listen Records and his own Honey Butter Records to name a very few. Because of his various musical outings, Sune has performed in cities like New York, Moscow, Los Angeles, Washington, Portland, Saint Petersburg, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm.
