Hi guys, This is the first output sound sample of VOCALOID MEIKO (+ Lola). I created this in 2004. It was the biggest shock since the sampler machine appeared in the world. 
Totomi is the name used when referring to the former Totomi Province, which was a ryosei province, and later Hamamatsu Prefecture, and the present western region of Shizuoka Prefecture, which is almost equivalent to that area. It is also called Enshu. And Yamaha Corporation is located there.

Gion is the name of the town of Kyoto. At present it is the five red-light districts of Gion Kobu, Miyagawa-cho, Gion Higashi, Ponto-cho, and the Kamishichiken districts, where there are Maiko in Kyoto. Moreover, the name of Gion, a famous Hanamachi (entertainment area and geisha district in Kyoto), originates from the fact that the area it covers was a Monzen-machi (temple town) built around Yasaka-jinja Shrine, formerly called Gion-sha Shrine.

This is a sample song of VOCALOID 1 LOLA. I found it from my old hard disk. In early VOCALOID, a noise often occurred for a synthetic sound in a connection part of the consonant. But it's unchanged that a singing voice of LOLA is splendid.

One from the Heart is a soundtrack album of Tom Waits compositions for the Francis Ford Coppola film of the same name. It was recorded from October 1980 to September 1981, and released in February 1982. It was during this period that Waits met his wife Kathleen Brennan, an employee at the studio where it was recorded.

Crystal Gayle features prominently on the record, performing either solo or in duets with Waits. The soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award for Original Music Score.

Hi, this is an output sample of prototype lib. （爺loid=old fart loid）which I made during development of VOCALOID 2 in 2004. This is an example that can add a human atmosphere by intentionally giving a certain intonation (pitch curve). And it can be run on all VOCALOID.

Hi guys, This is the output sound sample of VOCALOID1 with prototyping lib. which MTG team of Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, and VOCALOID team of Yamaha jointly made. We produced this in 2003、so, Giga sampler (a thing of the past)was used for the back-track.
This sample was announced in Acoustical Society approximately, but I think that the most people never known and never listened.

Hey, how are you guys? 
This is a sample which compared the output sound of V5 with V4 using Cyber Diva voice bank.
In the first half, it is an output sound of V4. And I did not add any editing to it.
The later half is the result of V5 which edited the same sequence using a new feature of V5. (It took only 10 minutes to complete!!)
You can easily add a feeling of more human intonation for your vocaloid tracks with new V5 editor.  :)
