Merging Croatian traditional music with modern psychedelic chill/dub/glitch, "Horns of Veles" compilation guides us through different centuries and regions of Croatia via sound and ambience. For this unique occasion, local artists who have a way of building pathways throughout webs of time are carefully selected. They expressed that sweet spot of connection between traditional and modern through a visionary re-envisioning of ancient songs, sung just for this compilation.

Veles is a major Slavic god of earth, waters, livestock and the underworld. His attributes are wet, wooly, hairy (bearded), dark and with horns. He is associated with cattle, the harvest, wealth, music, magic, and trickery. He has a role in the carnival customs of Koledari shamans and as protector of travelling musicians. In some wedding ceremonies in northern Croatia, the music would not start playing unless the bridegroom, when making a toast, spilled some of the wine on the ground. The symbolism of this is clear: the musicians will not sing until a toast is made to their patron deity.

The Sunday Morning "Rise" Ecstatic Dance at Pyramid in Koh Phangan Thailand is a special and unique place to play!
It is a unforgettable experience for the Djs as much as for the dancers.
And more then anywhere else here I feel at home, not only because I live here play regularly there but moreover because I created this event back in 2016 and witnessed it growing exponentially until now that has become globally recognised and acclaimed.
I honestly never came across such an intense dance floor.
Dancers here are fully present, total, playful, vibrant and open to receive and give all themselves.
I use to call it Dream Floor, a place where dreams manifest!!

Today I felt to upload a more recent of my Ecstatic Dance set to convey the difference in style and way I lately play them. 
This is a the Journey I played last April, I normally do not listen to my sets again after played  and picked it up from my recording"s folder just due to his length ... 3:03:33 hrs ... 

Ps ... in the middle of the set you will find the original version of HAVA NAGILA played in celebration of a wedding that literally took place on the Dance Floor :D

I want to thanks first all those beautiful dancers that gave all themselves to the Journey and of course all the artists presents in this set.

Jule has been in love with music since her early childhood days. In the mid-90s, she started composing pop, rock, and acoustic songs, and in 2006 Jule discovered the world of electronic music. In 2008, she released her first chillout album on Blue Pie Records (Australia), which was followed by another album in cooperation with Mikle Maaß & Hanz S., as well as several techno house/techno tracks on various record labels. In 2012, Jule released her first ambient album, Earth Feelings, on Beats & Pieces Records (Israel). It was well received and reached #34 in the Beatport-Genre-Album Charts.

The music by Jule Grasz is emotional and full of elegant melodies. The tracks radiate joy and happiness, and the gripping musical dramaturgy immerses the listener into magical realms.

The album Far North evokes magnificent pictures of Northern nature through masterfully designed soundscapes. The tracks waft the fresh air of the frozen wild beauty of the North, represent majestic fjords, huge snowdrifts, and ice-cold rivers that shimmer in the flickering of the Northern Lights. The synth samples are finely balanced, the musical modes are emotionally diverse, the tracks are imbued with vivid ambient pads.
