The room was crowded with bodies, all hoping to outlast one another in what felt like an eternal waiting game. Everyone had been told the prize would be worth it in the end but they could only take their word for it. Impatience was getting the better of them, they'd been sat twiddling their thumbs for hours and hours now. Time seemed to crawl along at a snails pace; they had to keep reminding themselves that it was a marathon, not a sprint. 

Paul Blackford has been releasing music for two decades, and you can tell, his slick electro and machine funk creations are deftly produced, characterised by a meeting of modern and classic influences. His next release comes via N-Gynn and Mike Gill's Superlux imprint, which has previously been home to music from Thoma Bulwer, Dawl, Desert Sound Colony and more, and has a serendipitous story behind it.

Mike and Paul connected after a video was posted on the former playing one of his tunes, and in response Paul sent his entire catalogue to Mike by way of thanks for the support. So the conversation about an EP on the label begun and Weekend Warrior is the result, which showcases his classic fusion of future-facing electronics and classic Detroit-flavoured electro.

It's been nearly 2 years since our last reissue comp, so we're pleased to
announce SHRR06: Seven Hills Presents Governed By Rhythm 94 - 97!
We're taking another wild excursion into the world of Andy Jones, the mastermind
behind Precise Daily Rhythm, a label we reissued back in 2020. Governed By
Rhythm was an outlet for Andy's faster, trancier dance tracks, as opposed to the
grooving techno and tech house of PDR.
SHRR06 comprises three never before heard tracks on Disc 1, as well as four
from the original label on Disc 2. Additions to the original music are; ANWAM, a 16
minute long acid ambient wormhole, Kik The Can, a pumping bassline driven
piece of tech trance, and the early 90's Italian-style Bedroom.

Our favourites MiNNt Edit and Wallo deliver a real treat! Their debut Dobar House Gruv EP, 'Unrestricted', is a nice shift from their previous two singles on our label. The title track is definitely a work of art. It's lively, melodic, and has an irresistible rhythm that would make a perfect deep tech tune for any house music dancefloor. On the other side, we have 'Haku', a more soulful take on the genre, with pads reminiscent of Madonna from the 1990s and a groove that offers no compassion. Javier Labarca also remixes 'Haku', making it slightly dirtier than the original and suitable for any dancefloor. However, we envision this one under the stars or with a beautiful sunset in the background.
