Up next 'On The Way To Ozora' is DJ BANEL, founder and co-owner of Iboga Records, IbogaTech and Sofa Beats labels and also one of the headliners of this year's Pumpui stage, who will show us some ear-candies form his techno collection. With a DJ career starting in 1988, Michael Banel's musical journey has travelled through more than three decades, countless countries and an unimaginable number of stages. From the early acid house era of the 80s to founding Iboga in the 90s and now, Banel has been at the forefront of trends in the electronic scene since the early days to whip dance floors into a frenzy around the world.  Today you can find Banel dropping either massive techno bangers or destroying dance floors with thumping progressive trance sets. Whichever style you choose, though, one feature of his performances remains the same: expertly crafted arrangements take rapturous listeners through the peaks and troughs of the genre on a musical journey to elation.

Michael Abel-Larsen, known as DJ Banel or Michael Banel, hails from Copenhagen and is a founder and co-owner of the legendary Iboga Records, IbogaTech and Sofa Beats labels. 

With a DJ career starting in 1988, his musical journey has travelled through more than three decades, countless countries and an unimaginable number of stages. From the early acid house era of the 80s to founding Iboga in the 90s and now, Banel has been at the forefront of trends in the electronic scene since the early days to whip dance floors into a frenzy around the world.

Today you can find Banel dropping either massive techno bangers or destroying dance floors with thumping progressive trance sets. Whichever style you choose, though, one feature of his performances remains the same: expertly crafted arrangements take rapturous listeners through the peaks and troughs of the genre on a musical journey to elation.

One of the international scene’s established taste-makers, Banel’s access to the freshest sounds and sense for ‘the next big thing’ has taken him around the globe from the dusty outback of Australia to the hot deserts of Israel, from the beaches of Mexico to the ice-cold midpoint of Russia and beyond. Driven by pure passion for the music and the scene, there is no sign of Banel slowing down any time soon.

Banel is also one half of the duo MVMB, releasing the full-length album The Sleeper Must Awaken on Iboga in 2016 and the follow-up Phase 01 in 2019, released on Ibogatech.

His involvement has deeply informed the sound and spirit of "LÉLOU," making it a testament to his enduring legacy.

The track pays tribute to Menwar’s trailblazing contributions to sega music, blending the genre’s traditional roots with contemporary electronic beats. The result is a seamless fusion that speaks to a global audience, bridging generations and cultures.

Babani Soundsystem’s approach merges the ancestral power of sega with modern electronic influences, drawing from the belief that sega music can evoke spirits. This creative synergy produces a layered, immersive listening experience that resonates with both emotional depth and rhythmic energy. Released by Babani Records, the single aims to celebrate the rich, multifaceted musical heritage of the Indian Ocean.

In addition to the original track, "LÉLOU" features a selection of remixes from international producers, including DJ Doraemon (Portugal), Vitu Valera (Peru), BĖXSEE (UK, DnB), Kretekboyz (Netherlands, Ghettotech), and Ayef (Mauritius). Each remix offers a distinct interpretation of the original, further honoring Menwar’s legacy. The release is rounded out with "Melodi La Mer," a second original track that continues to explore the deep, resonant beauty of Mauritian music.

Phil Patrick is New Zealand born, and the mind behind the Eartheogen enigma. The unique blend of smooth, earthy, funky and psychedelic elements. Inspired by a vast spectrum of influences including, dub, reggae, tech, psytrance, glith, blues and deep intentional sound. 

Phil's music is heavily influenced by the natural beauty and energy of Aotearoa, blended with playful elements, and frequent eerie vibes.

Eartheogen has seen plenty appearances on the iconic Zenon Records, Universal Tribe Records and a few other independent releases. Sharing his energy and grooves, amalgamated from the natural flow of New Zealand.

Eartheogen has toured all over Australia playing livesets at top class festivals and events, including Bohemian Beatfreaks, Where The Wild Things and Arts Are, Synaesthetics showcases, Elements Festival, Elysium Festival, Modem Festival and Twisted Frequency Festival further abroad.  

Truly a legend and a sound most loved on South African shores. We're pleased to share a taste of Eartheogen's truly soothing frequencies, before he makes his visit to South Africa later this year. True project much looked up to and idolized.

Earthly Measures & Multi Culti come together to present their first release on new collaborative label 'Cult Measures' - First up is Jinje & A Brief Utopia's - 'We Invisible' - a deep, cosmic, experimental 8 track LP with Afro percussion & Jazz influences - perfect for home listening and peak dance-floor in equal measures.

With records out on Mesh, Ostgut Ton, Different, Messrs Kick & Drum, SceneUnseen and his own label, Making Friends, Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm) has been making headway with his solo project in the electronic music scene. As the founding member and main song writer of Vessels (Cuckundoo, BIAS/Leaf, Different/PIAS) he has been DJ’ing and performing live for over two decades.

A Brief Utopia (A project by Jinjé) A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike.A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. About the artist:
Rhabia began her journey into psytrance and progressive in 2013, quickly falling in love with their creative potential. By 2015, whilst organizing events with some friends, she was found behind the decks, evolving her sound through years of exploration. 
As a singer-songwriter raised on diverse genres and influenced by her rock musician father, she brings a unique fusion of psy, tech, and occasionally her own vocals into her sets. Her style is experimental and emotional - unpredictable yet deeply intentional, always aiming to trigger the full range of human emotion, where darkness and light melt together. 

Since 2019, she’s represented Universal Tribe Records, performing across stages with sounds rooted in Psytech, Darkprog, and Zenonesque vibes.
Now stepping into production, Rhabia is releasing original work and collaborations, expressing her ever-evolving sound without boundaries.

Gabriel Kleiman has been involved in the Mexican electronic scene for more than 17 years. His first approach was as a psytrance DJ experimenting later with several more genres from progressive trance to deep house, including techno and Psy-tech. As a producer, he is constant in his hypnotic style that maintains a psychedelic tendency always faithful to his roots. His talent in the art of merging all this heritage of influences in impeccable productions led him to join the Undergroove Music Family in 2015, when he released his first EP “Muddy Feet”. This EP had an excellent response in places like Australia UK and USA, finally placing him in the international spotlight. Kleiman has been playing his Live Act and his versatile Dj sets in all the major clubs and festivals around Mexico during his long career. His music has been published via labels like Furthur Progressions (UK) and Electric Power Pole Records (Australia).
