This is my remix of a classic 70s/80s East African song performed by Habel Kifoto & the Maroon Commandos. Its about waking up in the morning and getting to work. The original was notoriously played on Kenyan radio every morning from 5AM, and was a constant reminder that the day has just begun. NO ONE wanted to hear this song!!!

I have layered it with a dancehall beats, groovy keys, a bass line and vocals from the P-UNIT hit song Dendai.

Nairobi was blessed by having a huge collection of legendary club and radio DJs who revolutionized the clubbing scene by playing 90s dance, pop and house music since the other genres weren't as popular.

These DJs inspired me and influenced my taste in music selection... This mix features some of my favorite songs of all time such as Always There by Incognito, Save Me by Lisa Fisher , Push The Feeling On by Nightcrawlers (MK Dub Of Doom) and many more hits!!!
