Random But Raw does it again for us here at Toolbox with that relentless baseline but bringing in a partner in crime known as Sam Alame. Lots of energy from the start and a faithful acid riff that takes us into a very circa 2002 era style raw hoover breakdown. Absolutely loving the sirens they add heaps of atmosphere and with an added bonus there is a nice key change in this too. Good work lads!

Hard House Mix 14

Baby Doll Records was founded in 1998 by Mark Kavanagh, initially just to release the single Kick Some Ass that TdV Records has agreed to put out just before the legendary Tony de Vit's untimely passing in July that year. Kick Some Ass and its b-side Funky Monkey were released on vinyl in 1998 and the success prompted Mark Kavanagh to record a follow-up, Bad Boy.

Stress Records had wanted to sign Bad Boy for a hard dance offshoot but in the end it was remixed by BK (in his Razor Babes guise) and released on Baby Doll in 1999. A CD version pairing both Bad Boy and Kick Some Ass was released in Ireland only through the Abbey Dance imprint and it became a top 30 pop chart hit.

Baby Doll Records returned in 2001 with its third single, another Irish top 30 hit, Da Flava by Mark Kavanagh vs Mr Bishi. A string of singles distributed by Tripoli Trax/Pure Groove followed.

However, in late 2002 on the seventh release, by DJ Love, the management of the Baby Doll label was taken over by a new company Baby Doll Limited of which there were two directors and a new sister label. But due to the collapse in vinyl record sales in 2003, only three subsequent Baby Doll singles were released before the company Baby Doll Limited folded.
