A tribute to the great Jerry Dzierza. I wrote this song not long after his passing in July 2018 and have never had the chance to share it. Recorded on a low quality Yamaha with a low quality Zoom H1 recorder, but it's everything I got. Singing quietly because I'm in a rental. Love you, dad <3

Pulled this one out of the vault... back in 2017 I had the unique opportunity of working with Zak Cohen at Woodshop Recording Studios on this track. It's a song I wrote early in my music life and I can tell, but I thought I'd share for the sake of nostalgia. Some other amazing musicians played on this track too, but I can't recall their names. "I Think I Need a Friend" dives into the difficult confrontation of her own imperfections, the transient nature of friendships and love affairs, and the consideration that perhaps solitude might be life saving. Produced at Midnite City Studio on Vancouver Island with multi-talented producer and musician Dane Letourneau, this project was crafted to be as meek as the cozy room that brought it to life. It is meant for anyone who has spent time looking at themselves in the mirror pouring sorrow out of their eyes knowing very well that doing so will leave space for future joy. It is a farewell to the fear of lonely nights and a bandaid for a broken heart.
