What would a blue summer sky be without the organic contrast of some white clouds? The track White Clouds by Marc Grabber & Bastian adds a dash of highly danceable texture to the firmament of the electronic soundscape. Its floating melodies are just as weightless and fluffy as those structures up there. However, the intricate, tribalistic rhythm section adds a powerful dose of down-to-earth push to this tune. There's also two remixes: René Bourgeois uses his thundering claps and whipping hit hats to turn White Clouds into a dramatic storm cloud formation, whereas Mollono.Bass sheds the mellow light of a sunset onto White Clouds using a flowing sub-bass line and an ornate, highly musical arrangement.

“Lock Conditioner” was built and inspired by samples taken from everyday life, specifically keys and a padlock as well as an air conditioner. Yet these ordinary sounds are transformed into unrecognizable textures that breathe life into the music. Soaring chords and an earthy rhythm complete the vibe."

PREMIERE: Zaidohki - Lock Conditioner (Original Mix) [Robotstyle Records]

Melodic maestro French-Canadian producer @gabrhome and the versatile @evrenfurtuna use their different cultural backgrounds to create an evocative, watery melodic exploration named after that traveller in two worlds, the salmon, swimming now against, now with the current, in waters both sweet and salt. ‘Salmo Salar’ has a sizzling summer touch. Its intro blends mingling mood-inducing chords in voices and strings, taking us underwater before a light but determined beat kicks in, spangled with piano arpeggios and snatches of melody as the spiritual vocals continue to evoke a watery vibe. The sustained breakdown surprises with a new clarinet tune, almost middle eastern, marking a shift of phase, after which a freer, jazzy feel predominates. ‘Salmo Salar’ launches on Saisons on July 10.

"VieL once again enchants with his calm but still driving way of writing music. With resilience he creates this cloudy mood, which picks up speed with its hypnotic bell chime and the intense percussions. Clicking additions reveal the passing train simultaneously a wistfully sounding call invites to hop on.

Shunus turns resilience into a even more driving dream, the drums a little spicier, but still similar in character. Modified bell chimes, added synths, great organics as background percussions and a very epic breakpart make it special. The sensual, passionate vocal stays a shaping element.

For the third release on Dawn Till Dusk we feature two highly creative artists combining for something exceptional. Jamie Stevens needs no introduction, and as one-third of the award-winning Australian act Infusion, he has crafted an envious portfolio. His solo work is a regular feature on imprints from Bedrock to microCastle, and his engineering excellence is all over the recent Balance presents Uone release. Joe Miller is an English-born, Australian-based musical alchemist whose podcasts are more works of art than DJ sets. His striking brand of progressive is catching the attention of an array of global melodic masters from Guy J to Nick Warren. Together, these two singular producers have collaborated in the past on All Day I Dream, and now they take centre stage on Dawn Till Dusk…

First single ‘Peninsula’ is a beautiful trek through vocal and sitar-sounding samples. The cosmic collection of melodic arrangements almost creates it’s own sense of call-and-response, evoking highly stimulating images of open seas and coastal drives. 

‘Kapunda’ is gifted with a highly laidback temperament. Bell-like tones and percussive hits gently roll through the bars: Close your eyes and you could be taking a slow stroll through the sleepy Adelaide town it’s named after.

The 6 minute beauty of ‘Pluto’ is an ambient gem. A very celestial melody is saturated in the analogue tape hiss of Boards of Canada, building to a very exquisite crescendo which slowly fades out of existence - much like the ex-planet Pluto.

Luke Sambe and Filter Bear combine for an smooth and exotic take on ‘Peninsula’ that demands repeated listens. Plucked instruments and percussive hits flow in out of your consciousness like a deep MDMA dream, one you wish you never wake up from.
