"Three years ago, Harley & myself met in his bed room studio for the very first time. This track was actually an idea from that very session.

Today we find ourselves back at home, together, after many months on the road from our various projects. 
Our core focus to finalise our forthcoming Singles, it feels symbolic that three years on we find ourselves coming full circle to finish this same song we started that very first day.

We reflect on how much has changed & how much is still the same. From my 9-5 desk job to now writing music & DJing around the globe. From his bed room ambitions to being the forefront of dance music subculture. We're still two young dudes, that love the ocean, hanging with our friends in the city we've grown up in & hunting for things that inspire us.

This song is for all you lovely people that have made our dream a reality.

With Zane Lowe pedestalling the first glimpse into Bensley’s diverse soundscape, ‘Fandango’ was a precursor for this forthcoming debut. ‘Next Generation’ is a bold move; with drum & bass being a genre which has certainly stood the test of time, newcomers have incredibly big shoes to fill. However, Bensley incorporates an innovative and incredibly intricate set of production skills to hold a title of his own.

But what can you expect from an artist who was signed after sending a single demo to revered label head Andy C. That’s despite having no previous releases or having any other music available to stream online. He was somewhat of a mystery.
‘Fandango’ was that track. And it was premiered as a world exclusive on leading tastemaker Radio1, which followed with support from the likes of Mistajam on 1xtra, as well as DJs on both Kiss and XFM.

Already demonstrating his widespread appeal with just one track, his air of mystery is now about to be broken. He’s definitely an anomaly; being only nineteen and having impressed so many people.

‘Next Generation’ is a 10-track journey through an impressively diverse soundscape. Whether it’s half-time breakdowns or the incorporation if cross genre-pollination it shows an astounding ability which will not go unrecognised.
From the opening bars of ‘Wildfire’, to the softly spoken pads and atmospheric note arpeggios of ‘Rain Dance’, then wrapped up by aptly named closing track ‘Aftermath’, there’s no denying Bensley’s masterful artistry.

Title-track ‘Next Generation’ leads you by the hand with snippets of humanistic sample, flowing in and out of its construct. It’s built upon by striking note progressions, a relaying of patterns which chop and change the mix. Carefully placed subs add impact, with emphasis given on each break, carrying the track forward down a steep drop with each slab of bass.

Drawing together a dizzying and fresh array of new sounds, this album indicates why Bensley is a forerunner within the new generation of music comers. Its representative of the fast paced technological setting of music production he grew up around; it also proves that Bensley is able to tap into dimensions which are often unheard of in other bodies of work.

The Bachelors are back with the first installment of the remix series of their latest album, The Space Between. BoS teamed up with some of their favorite producers in the scene to get their unique take on the tracks.

Dropping straight into one of the album’s standout tracks ­ ‘Satisfy’ ­ ​Bcee & Villem deliver an absolute banger of a tune to start things off. The shimmering vibe of the original kicks off the opening moments, building and building before dropping into a heavyweight bass­fueled roller that is destined to set floors moving.

Up next we turned over the halftime groover ­ ‘Kanto’ ­ to the impeccable production skills of ​Quadrant ​who flipped it into a heavy dancefloor DnB smasher! The track starts with an ethereal reverb­drenched vibe before switching gears into a serious growling bass stepper, with atmospheric piano and pads floating over the top.
Last but not least we hand the reins of the album’s title track – ‘The Space Between’ ­ to the deep and atmospheric wizardry of ​Method One​. An epic sounding intro delves into a chopped up halftime stepper, full of intricate breaks and lush pads before introducing an elegantly simple but effective hook that wraps up the EP.

‘Brat’ on the other hand shows the other side to Ivy Lab as the guys get aggy at the controls for a supremely sick peak-time performer. Creeping bleep FX open it up as the b-line seeps into the mix for a drop into some proper dance floor funk. Meticulous on the edits and the morphing bass, it’s a dirty yin to the A-side’s yang.

Few artists to emerge from North America’s Drum & Bass culture have made such a significant or enduring impact as San Francisco based trio Bachelors of Science. Formed in 2005, the group has carved out an unmistakable signature sound that spans the full emotional scope of the genre. From deep liquid over to the harder dance floor sounds of DnB, BoS have retained their musical quality and a loyal following, picking up a Beatport award for Best Drum n Bass single and several features on BBC Radio 1 while garnering DJ support across the scene from artists like LTJ Bukem, High Contrast, Friction, S.P.Y, Spectrasoul, Doc Scott, Bryan Gee, Marky, and many more.

Having released music on labels like Spearhead, Dirtybird, Fokuz, Horizons and Intrigue, in 2012 they launched CODE Recordings as an outlet for their music as well as standout productions from some of the top artists in the DnB scene.

On stage BoS bring an energy and vibe that is all their own. From top clubs like Fabric and Ministry of Sound to festivals and events such as Tomorrowland, Sun and Bass, Hospitality and Liquicity, the guys regularly perform around the world taking crowds on a unique journey with everything from originals and bootlegs to custom edits of cutting edge tracks and past future classics.
