Earlier in June 21 the first three tracks were released as a benefit for Palestine on Bandcamp. Now the whole E.P. is available for download and streaming.

War Cry is a 9 track E.P. in total. Featuring three brand new songs complimented by additional dub mixes from Guy and Henry and absolutely storming remixes/reworks by legendary UK Dub act Zion Train, plus further bonus beat remixes by Guy and Henry.

We are not the most prolific band in the universe, we know that, but we are so happy to finally put out this special E.P. This was recorded live in 3 days at Ranscombe studios in Rochester, a proper old school studio run by Jim Riley. 

Zion Train have turned in some fantastic mixes in their unique UK digital dub steppas style and we have a couple of other bonus beat mixes of our own to add a little more spice to the whole thing.

War Cry is a dark brooding dub track with dub inspired trumpets and a political message for all of us which resonates particularly in this time of war, particularly in Gaza. Shot Me Down is a personal message with a heavy rock vibe with space keyboard madness, and You’re Gone is a funky rock track with a melancholic reflective message.

Mind and Soul Collaborators was released in 1993.

Back To The Planet had been touring pretty much non stop all over the UK on the university circuit & supporting bands such as, Pop Will Eat itself, Levellers, Nina Hagen, Meat Beat Manifesto and many more..We Also played a lot in France at several big festivals including Festival Du Rock in Brittany. It was hectic, but amazing at the same time.

This LP was made in a quiet period between tours.

It was released on Parallel records which was a subsidiary of London Records. The tracks were mostly recorded at Surrey Sound studios in Leatherhead ( now defunct ) Turtles was made at the Greenhouse in Old Street and it was all mixed at Metropolis in Chiswick. there were other studios but I can't remember which.

Management was Alex Holland

Publishing Westbury Music.

Our A&R People were Russell Stone, Pete Tong and Phil Howes.

Engineers on the record were Phil Dane, Ralph Jezzard and Chris Potter. 

We had remixes of Daydream by Orbital and Adrian Sherwood.

It was an experience, some good some not so good. Would we go through it if it happened again? No probably not, not that it would anyway. 

Still, the LP is there and that is something to be proud of. Enjoy a bit of BTTP history.

RADICAL PLANET SHOCK TOUR 2018
THE CAVERN EXETER 04/11/18

This is the BTTP set recorded on the Radical Planet Shock Tour. The gig was the last of the combined headlining tour at the Exeter Cavern.  It's a multitrack recording taken from the desk on the night, and mixed at home by Henry. It's a little basic but it has a great vibe, the gig was fantastic with ton's of energy and a brilliant audience, All the bands played top sets.

Culture Shock and RDF were recorded as well. They have their versions, these may be released at some point in the future, but that's up to them.

Back To The Planet (BTTP) formed while squatting together in Peckham, London in 1989, and attracted a following throughout the early 1990s. They played four consecutive Glastonbury Festivals and played many free festivals, including the Deptford Urban Free Festival and the Castlemorton Common Festival[1] in 1992. BTTP were vociferous in their resistance to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

Their music blended elements of ska, dub, punk, and dance music. Their first album, Warning the Public, was released on their own record label, Arthur Mix Records, based in Hither Green. In 1993, the band signed to Parallel Records,[1] and released a chain of singles. BTTP split not long after the release of Messages After The Bleep in 1995, to pursue personal music projects.

BTTP performed a reunion gig at the Red Star Bar in Camberwell on 10 December 2006.[2] They also played at the Endorse It In Dorset Festival on 12 August 2007, and the main stage at the 2007 Beautiful Days festival, but to a smaller than expected crowd owing to them clashing with Bill Bailey. BTTP played the Paradise Gardens free festival, London on 25 May 2008, and at the Endorse It In Dorset, SolFest and Shambala festivals in summer 2008.

Back to the Planet appeared at Glastonbury, and EnDorset in Dorset during the summer of 2009.[3][4] Back to the Planet played the Wickerman festival in 2010. They played the Levelling the Land Part II tour, along with The Levellers and Dreadzone, in December 2011, headlined Rogues Picnic [5] in May 2012, and played Bearded Theory festival[6] in May 2012. Back to the Planet made a late-night appearance at The Bimble Inn at Beautiful Days Festival on Friday 17 August 2012 and are confirmed to play Alchemy Festival [7] 21–23 September 2012.
