Work in prog, a little ditty I made for my sis who runs Flynn Creek Circus, she requested a song for one of their acts, maybe someday I'll make a music vid of it. This is slightly slower and therefore funkier than the mix they ended up using. Finally got my daughter to help out on another song, she does love the screaming parts.

Where the waitresses were exhausted, and the lights were peppered with dead, dry mosquitoes.

I see in the shine of his glasses, of slumbers in the old motels,

Where lumpy mattresses and cockroaches dance in molasses.

Dirty tee-shirts, and no smoking in the hallways.

Echoes play under Highway Bridge, where semi?s scream and bottles clink in coincidence.

Begging for that one last swig, that would send forgetfulness, like a cold empty kiss.

But Smoky Joe, his one time friend, pushed his beggar?s face away,

So the old man walked down the highway of Route 66.

Meanwhile the neon cowgirls kick their legs, over and over into the monsoon sky.

I recorded this as (Galaxy Soundwave Project) track in 2015.

Eliminate

2nd track from the first studio release from The Sealers, circa 1989. Lots of weird percussion going on here, we had the studio full of people with shakers, bells, even a big piece of stiff paper to make the earthquake noises. Really an exercise in foley and a lot of fun. The first part is an old 4 track tune that Scott did and then the Elephant Walk part is the studio portion. The themes of environmental conservation are repeated throughout a lot of The Sealers' tunes, particularly influenced by the hippie ethos and Magic Bill who joined the band later than this recording. Unlike the vast majority of The Sealers, this tune used a Yamaha DX7, an early digital FM synth instead of analog synths. FM synths in general make pretty fantastic bell sounds and this one is no exception.

My project, Turquoise Avenue (2015-2018), had 56,000+ downloads and double that number in listens on Jamendo. 

Did I mention this profile was once called Back Trax?  I ditched that moniker when I shifted gears. Back Trax  focused on creating hypnotic hip-hop instrumental backing tracks – those have since found a new home on another platform.
