"Some men are at home where others would be scared to tiptoe; Enter MILF Recordings, a new label that mysteriously emerges from nowhere (and everywhere at the same time).  Immediately present in the artwork, a sex charged energy, reminiscent of a 80’s - 90’s heyday, intended for mature audiences only.  Perhaps it lives on in this latest delivery from our good friend, “UNKNOWN ARTIST.”  The opening scene, I mean track… “Adicktion” (Milf’s Edit) - a tough, rolling, disco-esque bassline, somewhat of a theme throughout the release, drives the listener, over shimmering, analog drums that gradually boil over into a synthy intensity, all while you are serenaded to the excited confessions of a sex addict.  Track 2, “Dame Mature,” lowering the tempo somehow brings out a more mechanical sensuality in the track’s sampling, blending together voices, and more, over a cutting bassline, that patiently establishes a steady, easy to follow rhythm, which ends with what appears to be cracks of a whip, if that’s something you enjoy.  The closing track, “Asstronomy” (Fuck Off Edit), a type of erotic, post apocalyptic outro, through space.  More aggressive, and then later sludgy, pulsating, bass tones keep the energy moving, into an interestingly dubby, droning, breakdown, that would surely create some excellent mixing opportunities for any remotely creative DJ, possibly.  All around, a solid collection for fans of dark disco edits, that any sweaty, open minded dancefloor would surely embrace, assuming there is a DJ in the building who is capable of wielding such a fiery trio.  

A final note, for those who might only have eyes for vulgarity, where there is only music, offering their unsolicited judgment, I ask, how did you get here?  Don’t answer that question."

José Rodríguez is one of the most respected producers in Spain, with a long and impeccable career in which he alternates progressive and melodic sounds with dark disco and indie dance. In his comeback to Espacio Cielo he presents us with Chien, an EP in which he shows the darkest and most intense side of him.  At the Remixes, two new artist join the label: Sylphomatic and Justo Perez, completing an EP that will undoubtedly shake the best dance floors.

Toy Tonics signed a band! Yes! After developing many DJ producers like COEO, Cody Currie and Sam Ruffilo now the Berlin imprint comes up with an electronic band! Baby's Berserk come from Amsterdam. 2 guys and 2 girls who studied art and fashion design and love 80ies dance pop dance bands like Talking Heads, New Order or the 2000’s LCD Soundsystem. They have a big love for 1980ies music and try to conect it with today's indie aesthetics.
You might know some members of the band from their other activities: One member of the band makes clothes for UK popstars like ADELE and the other band boss is Mano Hostelle. He is also part of Mauskovic dance band and other buzzed indie electronic bands from Amsterdam and Berlin.

The debut album of Baby's Berserk has been released in fall 2023 but here we come with a remix EP of their album. To introduce the music via the dancefloors.
Remix comes from Niklas Wandt (the German jazz drummer and lofi house producer.). The Indie rock hero Kris Baha did a remix as well as Nicolini (from world famous Mauscovic Dance Band).

Indie dance is coming back and Toy Tonics has the band for it! Kids will love Baby's Berserk!

Alzaya Records announces the release of ALZC03 - Atlantika, the first EP from 2024 dedicated to our concept series featuring Portuguese artist @anastasiazems in an authentic experimental work resulting from a self-reflexive journey that echoes the passage of time and life changes.

The artist mixes her core passions - marked by hypnotic electronic rhythms, Acid and Trance - with powerful new experiences marked by dissonant colours and sounds. The EP concludes with an invitation to slow down, reinterpreted in a separate track by Eklektique, which enhances its essence and message to promote new styles and talents.

Blindetonation hits double figures with a suitably notable new EP from Aurum Miles. Pardon Moi, Il Est Vilaine and Thomass Jackson all serve up sizzling remixes to complete this interesting package. 

Miles hails from Lithuania and has grown up around shoegaze, rock and British indie, and was later touched by electronic sounds. A keys, drums and guitar player who mixes up all these influences with narcotic weirdness, he has released on this label before and always impresses. 

The excellently elastic ‘Few Feets’ is a sleazy, low slung machine made disco jam with skewed synths, punk hits and dirty bass. Exotic vocals and dark spoken words flesh out the wonky groove and the whole thing is hugely intoxicating. ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ is a menacing number with more filthy bass guitar riffs that snake along an urban sounding landscape. More dehumanised vocals bring an edgy feel and cosmic synths serve to trip you out. Last original ‘Mojo’ completes this brilliant disco freak show with off kilter synths and guttural guitar riffs that add up to dark cosmic excellence. 

First to remix is Berlin Based New Wave Duo Pardon Moi aka James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal. They flip ‘Few Feets’ into a surging track with shooting synths that reach to the skies. It’s a spine tingling cut with plenty of intergalactic energy.  Then come the duo of Il Est Vilaine, who make twisted electronic music and get their machines dancing on labels like Dialect. Their take on ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ is libidinous and dripping with a moody tension. Propped up by rugged bass and coloured with naughty chords, it’s a psyched-out and vital version.  Lastly, label regular and esteemed modern disco man Thomass Jackson works ‘Mojo’ in to a characterfully chugging, flipped out number with scale-riding melodies and percolating bass that takes you on a real trip. 

This is an inventive package of perfectly macho dark disco.

later in the early 2000s discovered techno and house music and was influenced by johannes heil, chris liebing, cari lekebush, cannibal cooking club, adam beyer, ellen allien, dj hell, anthony rother, agoria, torben hildebrandt, robag wruhme, applescal, paul kalkbrenner.
also interested in beats like dnb and jungle and at least in italodisko,too.

Activiste de la première heure  et   passionné de musique, Fred aka Back From the Wave dévore les prémices  de différents courants majeurs de musiques électroniques ; l’acid house , la techno de  Détroit , la house music , la french touch mais aussi la new wave et suit des groupes comme Dépêche  mode ou New Order . 

 A la fin des années 90, il achète des synthétiseurs et commence à composer. Au fil des années plusieurs projets artistiques et musicaux  à multiples facettes réalisés sous différents pseudos donneront lieu à des signatures sur des labels reconnus.

Depuis 2019 ,  Back from the wave a produit de nombreux Ep et des remix pour  d’autres artistes allant de l'électro à l’ebm , de la New Beat à l’Indie dance .

Sa musique attire rapidement les faveurs de labels étrangers tels que   Bordello A Parigi , Melodize , Roam Records , Factor city , Ombra International mais aussi Français comme  Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée records et plus récemment Space Factory le label du   talentueux David Carretta , légende et précurseur du courant élécroclash en france avec the Hacker et Kittin .

Ses morceaux sont joués et appréciés par Dj Hell , Jennifer Cardini , The  Hacker , Endrik Schroder , Captain Mustache , Alessandro Adriani etc mais aussi par la jeune  génération comme Kendal , Bélaria , Mélanie Havens ou la New Yorkaise Andi .  

Parallèlement à son travail de producteur , Back from the wave  joue régulièrement sur de très belles   scènes telles que le  cabaret Sauvage à Paris , le Terminal à Lyon , le Bikini , le Rockstore ou le Rachdingue en  Espagne ……  

Ses sets énergiques sont à l'image de ses productions dédiés au dancefloor et combinant  electro , ebm , indie et Italo disco .  Sa persévérance et ses recherches appréciées  font de lui un artiste à suivre avec précaution .
