Presenting Queens of Club: a two-part VA celebrating the established and up-and-coming women and non-binary producers of Ghetto House, Electro, Footwork & Breakbeat.

Night Shift, shown here, is ten tracks of dark and pacey goodness with plenty of breakbeats and acid to satisfy your club cravings. However “generic” is not in the vocabulary of these producers as recurring themes of dance music are juxtaposed on every track with Ghetto House vocals, moody synths or thematic switch ups that will keep you on your toes, even if you're sitting down.

The title pays homage to the seminal "Queens of Baltimore Club", a highly sought-after LP from various legendary female Bmore artists (like Kotton the Cutie and Mz. Thang) compiled by DJ Technics in 2001. Almost two decades later and the club scene is still a hostile environment for marginalised groups and this compilation aims to address that. Queens of Club is by women/non-binary people, right down to the mastering engineer and the artwork designers, and intended for everyone who likes to shake their ass at high speed!
