PREMIERE: End In Tears - I Luv It

Up-and-coming Sydney based techno DJ and producer End In Tears released ‘On The Air’ via well-respected local imprint Motorik in 2020. With the single seeing support from the likes of Shall Ocin, Cici Cavanagh, Timo Maas & more, this time round he has invited an array of heavy hitting Sydney artists to remix his latest release ‘Crazy’

‘Crazy’ builds out of shuffled percussive patterns accompanied by an echoed and reverberated vocal sample. The intricately engineered instruments and samples combine to create a tense atmosphere before End In Tears’ industrial drum work lands with considerable impact. Add in some rave-ready synth stabs and mind-bending distortions throughout and the result is a thumping techno creation ready to tear the roof off late-night dance floors.

Included in the release are remixes from a talented selection of local producers; Yung Lemon, Posture, Eastern Distributor and AK Sports. These distinct interpretations, spanning breakbeat, acid and techno, provide DJs with a version for every dark dance floor occasion.

PREMIERE: End In Tears - CRAZY [Free House]

We like to present to you our new release with a selection of day one friends. The 12” starts with the euphoric rave anthem “Members of Warning 2021” by Giraffi Dog & Erik Jäähalli. A track title some of you might recognize which will bring peace and harmony to It’s followed by the heartwarming Hip Hop cut “Shout Outs” which is dedicated to da family and our sweet raver posse. The B side hits different as Henry 3000 is a G when it comes to baba Electro bombs while DJ Hummer understands to cool it down in trancy Westcoast Funk manner. A well balanced pack of diverse tunes wrapped once again in beautiful design by Guillaume de Ubeda.

'Connect the Dots' was written in the old Doom Chakra Tapes Studio which was located below the second installment of the famous Record Loft recordstore in Berlin. The rough environment of the studio really was a great inspiration and to me is audible on the production. You can hear the dark, rough and eerie bit as well as the friendly and positive part.

Just like the other track on the record ('Kid Wizard Gate') it laid around for a while before being fully finished. When the track caught the attention of Warning I made a slight update. The idea was to write a track that was banging on one hand but still is transporting some emotion and musical content. In general I am trying to write tunes that are not only hot for the moment but will hopefully stand the test of time and be fun to listen to in ten years or so.

After production delays in 2021, LDI Records present their fourth release and the debut solo EP from Texan electro producer Terrestrial Access Network - Distant Lands for release this January. The EP is drawn from the artist's shifting and hectic nomadic existence around the rattling expanse of the United States presenting 5 original cerebral electro tracks, backed up with a spooked out remix from Delsin Records’ Versalife aka Conforce.

Based in Austin, Texas, a city famous for its hyper-vibrant creative musical scene, Terrestrial Access Network feeds from the energy of this environment just as much as the desert that surrounds it. His day to day life involves travelling for near constant work projects - spending days and weeks away from home in what is a hectic lifestyle. In the feelings he channels when writing Distant Lands - he is pulled back towards the energy of the serene and calm landscape while on the road dealing with an unsettled nature of life and his profession.

Terrestrial Access Network began releasing music as recently as 2019 with tracks picked up for compilations on Swiss label Dionysian Mysteries. With a sound that is expert at creating powerfully immersive heads down moments for the dancefloor TAN has driven this EP with an ever present and intoxicating mechanical funk.

PREMIERE : Kör Boira - Rise Of The Pure Hearted

DJ Different dons his Terraform alias as he begins his journey in ‘Entering The Void’ on CYBERDOME; exploring phat electro bass-lines and party-starting ghettotech energy with its crosshairs fixated firmly on the club environment.

Born and raised in the culturally rich city of Malmo, the Swedish producer has previously released on London based label Deeply Cultured, Distant Hawaii, Mood Of Era, 1Ø PILLS MATE and Traxx Underground, spanning atmospheric techno, ethereal breakbeat and chunky electro.

‘Ultrasonic’ is an ear-wriggling cut of stripped-back psychedelia. As David Holmes would say, all the best electronic music tracks are made up of only a few components. Here, typical electro synth stabs, robotic vocal sampling and sparse precision allows the track room to breathe, whilst maintaining a deep and funk-driven groove.

‘Ghettotech’ sounds how you would expect it to; pounding kicks, frantic atmospherics and lairy screw-face hype combine on a certified fire-starter, before ‘Exiting The Void’ introduces itself on a footwork vibe that evolves into a sequence of interstellar-dungeon dub-electro.

‘The Rise of the Slavs’ takes its inspiration from the diverse group of tribes who lived in Central and Eastern Europe in the 6th to 10th centuries, establishing the foundations for the Slavic nations; it’s marching rhythm beaming historical context into 21st Century dance music.

Kicking off the third installment of our NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH is none other than the alien boogie commander Volruptus. The Iceland-born producer leaves his mark on every track he makes and ‘UFO Rider’ is no different - a classic Volruptus baseline with whirling, alien-like synths layered on top.

Taking the controls next is another Icelandic producer and half of Polar Attraction which is Jadzia. She’s been on a tear since she started releasing nothing but dance floor killers. She’s put together yet another electro heater for us with ‘Hycean’.

Third is Cincinnati native PTHGN. Although only bursting onto the Soundcloud scene recently, PTHGN is coming up on his 10th year in music production. The years perfecting his craft are on full display in all his tunes. Recently appearing on International Chrome’s IC10, he’s now blessed us with standout track ‘West Coast Freaks’.

Next up is someone we’ve worked with before, Lithuanian beast 5ZYL. He’s been active recently, releasing 2 sick EPs in quick succession over at PZ Records. He’s hit us with another high energy acidic track with ‘Purple People’.

Closing off this time is co-founder of Raiders, Young Lychee. A talented DJ & Producer, his tracks are always put together with pinpoint accuracy. For ‘Can’t Save Me’ he’s got 89 The Brain Child on the lyrics to make for an eerie electro classic.

Employing tastily imperfect synergy, ‘Facility’ makes no apologies. A brief yet inquisitive origin teases blissful melancholia, only to be contrasted by harnessed synth detuning and a seamless, classic low-end blend of broken pulse and offbeat thud.
‘Infinity Pool’ sees cascading plucks serve as a spectral companion to a wandering bassline. Drenched in a waterfall of percussive space, a round kick trades centre stage with a delectable snare, while wide regions are immersed in colourful pads and reverberating vocals. Exhibiting robotic sounds from the depths of manmade
wickedness, ‘Up In The 303’ is built around a recurring spoken message and conspicuous acid bassline. Its fleeting gaps mere resets, rave synths and sprinkled short sonics conjure images of cyber dystopia.
Posterchildren of prosperity, Willo and Caitlin Medcalf arrive with reinforcements and unique, nuanced takes on the endless trickle of the Infinity Pool. Leaning into her proficiency in spatial nostalgia, Willo’s signature concoction of sunlit dejection comprises a sustained kinetic drone and airy scattering of wet vocal sounds & wave tails. Breaching the surface at a dependable interval, Caitlin’s toppy kick coordinates a field of complementary quirks. Majestically unorthodox, her unmistakably thumping take introduces rich arpeggiation to coincide with unique drum placement and timing.

Chasing The Game (FTP Yellow Blue)

Freshness finds itself in many forms. Here we’ve got the debut single from new fella End In Tears. He’s been going wild on the URL and IRL with music, mixes and parties so we knew it was right to scoop him up with Mother Motorik.

End In Tears sound of partii funk melts together a nice blend of electro, techno and breaks – quite a stunning drop if you ask me. On The Air throws samples at your left right and centre, some you know and some you don’t either way there is a sense of familiarity and the excitement of something new. We’ve been rinsing this newby from the warehouse to the airwaves and time and time again it’s landed right in the sweet spot.

Channelling this new rave energy is a gaggle of remixers. Motorik alumni McLean & Mai take the machine funk angle giving this the grit and grime you need to throw down late night. Lex Barlin, slams a nice analogue infused melody to you, think chugger meet peak time on this. Even newer fella onoxonox gives that straightforward clean cut club edit which can seamlessly sit right in the middle of your mix.

This is the beginning of a whole new experience with End In Tears, it starts with a single and ends with something greater. Keep it locked with this one, all brought to you by MTK Recs.
