Melbourne's most militant sonic futurist Hedchef deviates slightly from his alien electro mission to unleash a proggy, breaky, trancey anthem that seduces you into a 'Perpetual Loop'. Jerky polymetric synth patterns glide over crushed breakbeats and ethereal synth work to bring a considered yet focused dancefloor weapon.

Hedchef is a Melbourne-based producer and DJ originally from Oxford, UK, where he’s affiliated with labels Fly By Night and Circular Jaw; and runs his very own show with Threads Radio. He’s had a slew of head-stomping releases with Ecke Records, Left Right + Centre, Cyber Domain and more, with his own seismic brand of jagged electro, broken techno and UK bass.

To celebrate the end of 2021 and Spinning Around's first year in action, Highly Minogue has invited a number of this year's guests to contribute to a new charity compilation. The compilation features new original productions from each artist, with all proceeds going directly to Australian First Nations organisations - including Pay The Rent and the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service - causes Highly feels strongly about after the loss of his best friend back in 2014.

@naco returns to Scuffed Recordings with a masterclass in mind-bending breaks and percussion.

The Kyoto-based producer first released with Scuffed in 2018 with his 2026 EP, which picked up support from the likes of Skream, HAAi, and Kettama among others.

With a slew of releases on his own 85acid imprint, Naco has established a sound that draws extensively from the club music spectrum - breaks, techno, house, jungle - but with a warped approach that sets his releases out from the crowd.

Now returning with his 'Noian' EP, Naco brings three new high-energy tracks to Scuffed - each of them deceptively simple in their approach but striking in their effect.

For our second release we welcome London based Eyeza to the label. The DJ and Producer, who also runs the Basilica imprint delivers a heavy three track EP, showcasing his versatile reflection of the contemporary club sound. „Exist Physically“ opens with a pressure building drum pattern, shooting kicks and spacious claps, promising complete shutdown, while „IATTOB“ continues with a percussive thriving, undermined by a dark, yet lively tension enriched by hypnotic vocal chops. „Off a Pill“ follows its forgone energy and dives even deeper into a rhythmic and gritty hybrid soundscape to perfectly round up this journey at the verge of raw, grime-infused UK Techno, guaranteed to turn every dance floor into an ecstatic experience. The full release is scheduled for 28th October and will be available on our Bandcamp only.

The sounds across these four tracks were made by SIM and NAP from 2021 to 2023 with lots of love and bass... the sessions started from the first time they met at NAP's studio, point always to kick it, jam and see what happens. After a couple months of that of course a sound develops, a process shines and a friendship grows. After a year or so trust built and a language made present. Transcending the spoken word and feeling unique to both...things start to really go off and the jams turn to songs. Two years pass and it’s time to celebrate with the marker and archive of all those deep sessions, now in edited form to be shared with all. And yeah, you can have all in common with someone when it comes to digging wubs, riddims and drum machines but add vulnerable earnest meetings with meals in between and good conversation about things other than music (or maybe how other things relate to it) and then you get something really special, something like SINNAZ. SIM and NAP journeying into collaboration with a debut EP of rhythmic noise, driving bog beats, swampy dembows, radioactive Dancehall and unhinged experimentalia.

On his ‘Eating Woodlice’ EP, Dyslecta continues his artistic growth with three tracks exploring different BPM ranges and production techniques, fused by his love of techno and other UK dance music genres.

Describing the EP as being ‘testament to what you can do with the most limited amount of samples and kit’, the release sees Dyslecta unifying a broad range of production techniques while maintaining a recognisable sonic backbone throughout.

Hngwy pulls out all the stops on ETCH005 with 'Item Select', a killer 3 track EP that explores a multitude of leftfield dance music flavours.

The title track 'Item Select', features stuttering percussion and catchy vocals that resonate alongside the rolling bassline, later building into a mind-bending synth and drum explosion.

'Glaikit' is a masterclass in dark, rolling breakbeats, haunting effects and hard-hitting drums that are enough to put cracks in the walls of any venue.

The closing track of the EP comes in the shape of 'Anabasis', gradually weaving in in and out of synths reminiscent of 90's jungle, along with hypnotic drums and a bassline which nods to old school electro.

Hngwy does not mess about. You have been warned.
