At Trust in Wax we love remixes. Especially when Atwashere flips, bends and twists tracks which are way opposite from his usual sample sources. This time we are really happy to announce a very own Spezialversion of "Follow Night" for Small Strides. Those fine dudes allowed Atwashere to feed his vintage gear with a lot of their alternative guitars, bass, drums and vocal sounds. In result we are happy to release a not so typical, fast and driven version of "Follow Night"! This one is special! Atwashere collected some field recordings at the famous cultural venue Zeche Carl in Essen. He knocked on a golden coffin, lost a game in table soccer, shook some empty bottles of beverage ... in short: He was allowed to record a variety of sounds backstage to catch its vibe for his Audio Give Box Project. "Sample Carl" was created at 100% throughout this inspiration.

You may have noticed: Your favorite label likes those rugged, rough and raw sounds. We are still not in need to adapt the mainstream with some polished shiny tunes. This is exactly why we had to release "Is' Mir Egal" by Atwashere and Freddy Allerdisse.    
Freddy wrote some lyrics which tear the thing called love in many little pieces. At the latest when he raises his voice his pain melts into one with Atwashere's synthish boom bap cowbell riddim.

Baronski is one of our favourite beat producers. We are fans of his work and absolutely stoked about the remix he did for us! He turned “Uhhh!” into a beauty of instrumental boom bap with all the necessary ingredients. He added deep kicks, hard hittin’ snares and some decent scratches by his fellow colleague DJ Smooth just to make your feet slap, your hands clap and your head nod. To sum up, it’s a Nice One!

Back to the Roots of Vinyl Music! Das Boombox Kollektiv [aka Backseat Funk!]
hat die Hiphop-Musik fest in sein Herz geschlossen. Die vier DJs sind allesamt  begeisterte Vinyl-Liebhaber, die Quality Hiphop leidenschaftlich feiern ‑ im Club und auf Platte! An den Decks blicken die Jungs aber auch gerne mal über den Plattentellerrand und verwöhnen Euch über partytauglichen Boombap-Rap hinaus mit tanzbaren Grooves aus Funk, Soul und Breakbeats. Abgerundet wird das Set durch MC hai Mitch. Seit geraumer Zeit begeistert er Party-Crowds in Münster mit seinen furiosen Flows.

Party-Erfahrung und Club-Credibility hat das Boombox Kollektiv reichlich – vor allem durch langjährige Aktivität in der lokalen Szene. Feste Größen wie Smoove, Guts, Main Concept, Morlockk Dilemma, Marc Hype und DJ 5ter Ton (Massive Töne) standen schon mit auf der Bühne. 

Das Kollektiv weiß, was es zu bieten hat. Die Mitglieder des Boombox Kollektivs sind stetig in allen Gassen unterwegs. Die hohe Vernetzung bringt immer wieder lebendige Kollaborationen hervor.
