For this 130th Premiere of 2022, we have the "Krik Remix" of the track by Belarusian Electronic duo "Shuma" titled ‘Hatka’ from their forthcoming Charity Compilation "Hatka (Remixes)" on the Belarusian label : Backside Slice.

"Shuma - Hatka (Remixes)" will be available from May 17, 2022 in digital only on Bandcamp : https://backsideslice.bandcamp.com/album/hatka-remixes.

Shuma - Hatka (Remixes) [Backside Slice // BS013]

The idea of creating this release appeared to us a long time ago. We wanted to make a release of remixes dedicated to a track written by a Belarusian artist and began to mull over who it could be. Since we have been friends with the guys from ethnic electronic music group ’’Shuma’’ for a long time and we were fans of their work, they were the first ones in our list of artists. We made them an offer and the guys agreed immediately.

We were offered to choose one of the tracks from the album "Shuma - Me, Mother", which was released in 2019, to create remixes. The track Hatka was chosen, which means "a house" in Belarusian language. We wanted the remixes for the release to be written by Belarusian producers, as well as producers from other parts of the world, in a 50-50 ratio. But to our surprise, there were more compatriots willing to take part in writing remixes than we expected, so 7 out of 9 tracks were written by Belarusians. The foreign guests were represented as a bright participant of the ‘’Pornceptual” project - Deepneue and one of the executives of the ‘’Sticky Ground’’ label - küetzal.

The release was supposed to come out earlier, but circumstances appeared so that it is coming out right now, at not the easiest time for our planet. With this release, we want to speak out in support of peace and against what is happening right now in the center of Europe, on the territory of Ukraine. All the money from the sale of the album will go to help the victims.

Thanks to all the producers and people who took part in the creation of the release. You are the best!

We wanted to release remixes of a track written by a Belarusian artist, and we started to think about who it could be. So the guys from the ethno-electronic group "Shuma" were chosen.

To create the material, the atmospheric track "Hatka" was chosen, which is part of the album "Shuma - Me, Mother", released in 2019.

The release was supposed to come out earlier, but circumstances appeared so that it is coming out right now, at not the easiest time for our planet. With this release, we want to speak out in support of peace and against what is happening right now in the center of Europe, on the territory of Ukraine. All the money from the sale of the album will go to help the victims.

Thanks to all the producers and people who took part in the creation of the release. You are the best!

We round up this May roster with ideological inspirer of the Minsk creative association BACKSIDE SLICE. He loves unbridled dancing and tries to broadcast music in his sets to set the stage for exactly that. TYTS-TYTS played in almost all clubs in his native city of Minsk including projects like СИЯНИЕ (DERSCHINE), MODUL, TOAST, and  MACHINE LAB providing anything from assertive house to uncompromising hard techno. In today's set, he showed his love for broken music featuring several unreleased tracks from their label.

Bio:
TYTS-TYTS is a DJ originally from Minsk who moved to Tbilisi in 2022. He is a co-founder of the creative collective and music label Backside Slice. He loves uninhibited dancing, so he strives to transmit music in his sets that is perfect for such action. His musical preferences span a wide range, ranging from energetic house to hard techno and possibly beyond. Prior to his move, he was an active cultural figure in his city, performing at most clubs in Minsk, and was also a guest at events organized by projects such as DERSCHEIN, MODUL, TOAST, MACHINE LAB, IS HOT, CULT, and many others.

About the mix:
The mix turned out to be fierce, intricate, with a lot of punches and insane energy. It also features direct kicks and beautiful melodic parts. It's nuclear fusion like that. In the mix, you will hear tracks by Belarusian artists, as well as tracks by producers from both the new school and the old school.

For The Hustle No. 72 we're introducing you to TYTS-TYTS, a Minsk born, Tbilisi based DJ and one of the founders of the label Backside Slice. Having a background in instrumental music as well as some rap, he transitioned to DJing in 2019 which also marked the birth of his label. He's been a prominent figure in the underground scene of his hometown before ultimately moving to Tbilisi in 2022.

Our mix series rose from the ashes today after a long lull. And the second wind starts with a mix from an experienced African DJ and promoter LoTech.

For over 20 years he has been a DJ and played in many well-known places in Cape Town, Johannesburg, while starting his career in the city of Durban, the third most populous and important settlement in South Africa.

LoTech recorded a mix of atmospheric techno, infused with Detroit sound.
