On est très fièr.e.s d’accueillir Nuir pour ce nouveau podcast. DJ et producteurice autodidacte, iel a récemment sorti un debut track sur Mama Told Ya, le label d’Anetha. Dans ses sets, iel aime brouiller les frontières entre les genres, tissant un espace sonore qui oscille entre IDM, la trance, la bass music britannique entre autres. 
Ce set est un bel aperçu de ce que l’artiste est capable de nous proposer, avec un fil conducteur une techno hyper pulsée et énergique, comme on aime l’entendre dans les clubs.

Paris-based Nuir shares a *FLINTA-only productions mix for us, neatly combining club-driven energy and introspective moods. Beginning with a beautiful, beatless intro, the DJ and producer takes us through murky soundscapes, lithe melodies, swirly polyrhythms and many more textures derived from IDM, electro, trance, UK bass and beyond. Having made their debut as a producer on Mama told ya, Nuir has continued to explore and experiment with their sound, as told through releases on Collective, Maison Close, Matière and Ghetec. Internationally established artists, including Francois X and Anetha, have played Nuir's music, further supporting an artist unafraid to fuse instruments, hardware, software, and their own vocals across their work.

Nuir is a self-taught producer and DJ from Paris. His work revolves around creating consistent expressions that draw musical inspiration from a wide range of electronic culture, including IDM, trance, UK bass music and perhaps last nights. In his DJ sets, Nuir always blurs the boundaries between genres, creating a sound space that oscillates between pulsating contemplation and independent club energy.

After catching the attention of Aneta and releasing his debut track on Mama Told Ya, Nuir decided to reflect and experiment with his music.

For our series, he prepared a mix in which he also erased all musical boundaries between styles, entangling the listener like a spider in his noir web.

Nuir is a self-taught producer and DJ based in Paris, known for her boundary-pushing approach to electronic music. Drawing inspiration from a rich electronic music culture that spans IDM, trance, techno, and the free party scene, Nuir has carved out a unique sonic identity.

She made her debut as a producer on Mama Told Ya and has since continued to push boundaries with her sound, releasing music on labels such as Maison Close, Ghetec, and, most recently, TM8.

Rooted in Parisian club culture and the French free party movement, Nuir has performed across numerous European cities, including Copenhagen, Bristol, and Yerevan.

Her music has received support from internationally recognized artists, including Mama Snake and Anetha, affirming her growing influence and fearless ability to merge hardware, software, vocals, and live instrumentation into a singular, evolving sound.

About the mix:
This one-hour mix embodies what I seek during this challenging time we are facing — a sonic space for both release and reflection. Deeply connected to the culture that has shaped my identity, I am now driven to contribute to this vision: music as a powerful political and emotional force, creating a space where everyone can freely express themselves.
I wanted the mix to reach both emotional depths and euphoric highs — blending deep introspection with high-energy club sounds. It's about connection through contrast, and the healing power of dance.

PRZ reports for duty for the 9th release in the Hilltown Disco series with six no-nonsense, commanding, electro-cuts, delving into intergalactic territory with "Red Material".

Chateau Royal boss, Gal Perez has featured twice on Hilltown Disco's charity compilations, making Perez a familiar face on the label.  Tel-Aviv based, PRZ spent over a year finely-tuning 'Red Material', flexing his rich and extensive production levels.

The 12" features some of the most intense and twisted, bass-heavy tracks the label has released to date.  With fizzing drum machine beats, deep, space acid-lines, and the occasional disgruntled cyborg, Gal creates certified future-classics for the Hilltown Disco imprint.
