Foreign is the pseudonym used by Miguel Vázquez under which he plays sets of IDM, avant-techno and electro sounds, combining the smoothness and efficiency of transparent melodies with abstract landscapes and dense atmospheres loaded with complex polyrhythmic structures. Throughout the years Foreign has played in several events of Hard Taste, A.I. Series and in clubs like NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club, etc. Has also published podcasts for different record labels and web platforms (Sin Hilo, Gladio Operations, Zanderhythm, Archaic, etc.). In 2022 he created his own label, Mutoscope Records, mostly oriented to IDM sound. Its first release (by Veelargo) was released in November 2023.

This Mix was done with all vinyl except for track 11.

Vector Field is a sound technician, producer, and DJ. He has
been active in the electronic music scene since the late 90s, starting with collecting records and mixing on vinyls in small raves in the countryside. Drawing from various experiences, he transmits positive energy through its own music, infusing it with his special touch, which is a mix between layered rhythms and evolving soundscapes with a special kind of kinetic energy. Under the monikers Stigr and Vector Field he has released many Lp’s and Ep’s, with a different approach each time. You can check out his amazing creations on his Bandcamp page:

Veelargo is a Spanish producer based in Krakow, Poland. His influences are very eclectic and come from many genres. The sound of artists such as Plaid, Orbital, Autechre, Aphex Twin, FSOL, Roel Funcken, Tangerine Dream, Joy Division, Depeche Mode or Oscar Mulero among many others have been a constant inspiration. Apart from his Soundcloud and Bandcamp profiles, some of his material can be found released on Mutoscope Records, People Can Listen and Artificial Intelligence Records.

Sardinian born Aritmia Sonora is now based in Amsterdam, exploring the intersections of experimental electronic music and bass culture. While his passion for field recordings carries his creativity back and forth from his studio to landscapes overseas, the Dutch city lights are made for digging fresh wax and building community. Niccolò is also curating Decadance, a platform which recently debuted as a record label, by announcing the release of “Rizoma Granulare”, out on March the 31st.

INDEx Mix #45 - Aritmia Sonora

This mix is a reflection of my 10+ year journey through the (bass) music scene as a listener and later as a DJ, Event Curator and Label Manager of "Eyesome". The selection starts off rather gentle around the 120-140 bpm mark with dub(step) and 4x4 UKG material before dipping into drum 'n bass. Both styles were highly influential to my taste in music from early on and up until this day continue to shape it. I feel lucky and privileged to be able to work with so many talented musicians on a regular basis. Hope you like the mix which I recorded - S/O Palanga Street Radio for allowing me use their studio.

This mix is a good representation of Marco Ferrantelli's approach to production, in terms of exploring new ways of designing Techno music. It mainly features his own work, with tracks from previous releases on Secuencias Temporales and previews of the forthcoming release on Circular Limited that will come out on the 5th of september 2025.

INDEx Mix #47 - Marco Ferrantelli

This mix was done for us by Mono Code for Source Control, featuring unreleased music and tracks from the forthcoming Unkey & Mono Code collab release “Tech Two EP”, that will come out on Source Control the 24th of October 2025.

Launched in 2025, Source Control is an innovative music label founded by UK based artist Unkey. With a vision to create a platform that embraces a diverse range of musical styles, it will remain firmly rooted in its origin of dubstep and 140 beats. The label is dedicated to showcasing sub-heavy music that is dark and atmospheric, providing a sonic landscape where artists can explore their creativity without limits. 

Cornwall-based producer Henry McEndoo, formerly known as Deft Design, nowpresents his latest project: Mono Code. An underground electronic artist withroots in dubstep and halftime drum & bass, his sound has always been definedby dark, atmospheric undertones and meticulous attention to rhythm andtexture.Mono Code represents an evolution — a sharper focus on the intersectionsbetween breakbeat, garage, dubstep and forward-thinking bass music, while drawing increasing influence from the hypnotic drive of techno.

Unkey is another producer who effortlessly explores the darker side of bass-driven dance music, seemingly drawing inspiration from stripped-back Grime instrumentals and two-step rhythms. The Midlands based talent has released on such labels as Artikal Music, Dungeon Beats, Uprise Audio, and more. His sound is a high-octane amalgamation of the many strains of UK bass-centric music, often with a melodic and rhythmic flair that typifies his tracks. Unkey is also founder of the Source Control label and an accomplished DJ/producer bagging up airtime on staple stations such as BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, 1 Xtra, Rinse fm and SWU.fm. 

With the new “Tech Two” release on Source Control, the duo delves deeper in their shared fascination with texture and structure. Re-imagining and reconstructing material from their previous “Tech One” each track is a re-egineering of form, tuned for the darker corners of the club. The result is a record that feels both connected to its origin while entrirely forward looking, setting the stage for “Tech Three” coming out next year, where the evolution of their sound will continue.
