Take a trip on “The Green Line” and experience a journey through Stockholm’s underground in the unique soundscapes crafted by JNB.
Inspired by the iconic Green Line of the Stockholm subway, this album immerses listeners in the cold, raw atmosphere of the city’s transit system. More than just a nod to the snowy, urban landscape, “The Green Line” captures that uniquely Scandinavian feeling of solitude and introspection that comes with long rides through dimly lit tunnels and quiet, empty platforms. Each track becomes a station along the route, moving fluidly through various styles of Drum & Bass to create a true audio journey.

With over 15 years of experience promoting events in Stockholm, JNB brings a rare depth and diversity to his sound. He weaves in influences from across the whole spectrum—from intense, bass-heavy rollers to smooth, melodic cuts—reflecting the many sides of a genre he has long championed. “The Green Line” doesn’t conform to a single style, but rather lets each track stand as its own reflection of JNB’s love for the wide range of sounds within the genre.
It’s an album shaped by years of experience and a deep passion for Drum & Bass, crafted with care and attention to every detail. “The Green Line” is a genuine reflection of JNB’s connection to the music and the journey it represents.

Back2Back Records launches with the "Principium EP" from one of the label founders JNB. The mission statement of the label is to showcase new and exciting D&B producers from within Scandianvia and thrust them into the international spotlight.

In the coming months you can expect releases from the Back2Back crew and a growing back catalogue of tracks from newcomers to the Scandinavian D&B scene.

JNB brings an intelligent, dark but smooth twist to Drum and Bass. The twenty-seven-year-old originally hails from England but is now based in Stockholm, Sweden and takes influence from the cold and dark winters of the north.

Kicking things off on the E.P we have the aptly named “Principium” - Dark sweeping pads lead you to a place, a place where you are unsure whats about to happen until you are lead by the hand via punchy drums and an eerie vocal. A distorted arp takes us toward heavy sub shots as the track unfolds and sets the mood for the other gems on the E.P. A perfect accompaniment to any 3 am smoky dance floor.

Next up we have “The Train”. JNB takes influence from Stockholm’s bustling metro system and invites you to join him on a no holds barred D&B roller. Tight drums, strong stabs and chugging percussion join you in a packed carriage, whilst the conductor announces the train is ready to depart. Are you ready to get on board this dark throbbing locomotive to destination unknown?

The penultimate track off the E.P is entitled “Kaliber” A razor sharp roller which twists and turns its way through the caverns of the underworld. Where we are greeted by our host who offers us a brooding bass line with lashings of percussion and a side of mayhem.

Finally we end with “Ergosphere”. A magnum opus of sinister proportions. A space odyssey teleporting you to another dimension. Initially beginning with filtered verby hats the track simmers down before alien lifeforms begin transmitting from the darkest recess of the universe. Thick pads pull you along this almost Kubrick like quest before we make one final approach to the black hole!

Some words from JNB : "For this mix i decided to mix basically all my favourite tracks. I usually record my mixes over and over again until i completely nail the mixing but i feel that after the 4th or 5th time recording you loose the vibe a bit.  So for this one i went with the first take. There are a bit of loose mixes here and there but i think you can definitely here the vibe i was on. Back2Back Records started out as a group of friends wanting to contribute to the alternative dance music scene in Sweden. After a few parties with mixed up music, mixed up crowds and only positive reactions from the people the parties got bigger and happened more often.

Now entering its 12th year, with monthly events at Slakthuset and boat and forest parties, Back2Back provides a much-needed platform for both international and local artists to perform in Stockholm.
