Back2Back Records - Straight Outta Swedish Jungle – Volume one 

The monster is out of the cage..! After a solid premiere release, Back2Back Records follows up with a compilation EP to showcase some of Swedens most talented Drum & Bass producers! 
The “Straight Outta Swedish Jungle” series is a outlet for Swedish producers to get their music out in the D&B-stratosphere and to show the world what is happening up in the cold north! 

First up is the beautifully composed “Born Again” by Blastikz. With a sturdy but soft combination of strings, floating pads and a rolling bass, this track encourages you to close your eyes and let your mind drift away.

Olski is on always on point when it comes to production, and this is no exception with this rolling piece of art. “Tivoli Gardens” takes you a fast roller coaster ride where you barely know what hit you. A distinct feeling of having a long and exhausting sparring session with a sound system.

“Atlantis” by Nowan shows that the influences within the Scandinavian Drum & Bass culture is strong. The combination of the dub sound mashed with breakbeats from the deepest Swedish jungles combined with the raw synthesized stabs makes you reminisce the good old days.

“Incandescence” by Dissent switches the sound to a more industrial vibe. This veteran within the underground Drum & Bass scene in Stockholm fuses a steppy, raw and punchy kick with the blips and blops you would imagine coming from a deep space shuttle.

Back2Back Records resident i.Spaceman is next up with his debut production ”Lays Days”. He takes you on a journey with the steppy beat, bouncy stabs and pads combining melodies and harmonies. Definitely one for the summer sessions. 

With “Ditroite”, Detroit has made its way to Sweden. Printa shows the obvious footwork connection to Jungle and Drum & Bass. The overlapping basslines combined with the solid percussions and drop in BPM makes this track put you in a weird state of trance, drifted from reality.

Back2Back Records started out as a group of friends wanting to contribute to the alternative dance music scene in Sweden. After a few parties with mixed up music, mixed up crowds and only positive reactions from the people the parties got bigger and happened more often.

Now entering its 12th year, with monthly events at Slakthuset and boat and forest parties, Back2Back provides a much-needed platform for both international and local artists to perform in Stockholm. 
Today, Back2Back consists of seven people (Estated, JNB, rzt, i.Spaceman, Charlie.pxls, Aurelius & ItsOk) on a mission to play Drum and bass to the masses!
