OMW002 - Samurai Breaks & Arcane - Sunshine Dreaming

The two longtime friends wrote this EP during COVID lockdown when they ended up living on a farm in South Somerset. A slowdown of life gave them time to explore new sounds and more of a ‘home listening’ vibe as opposed to all out club bangers. The 2 producers have combined their visions into a 6 track EP, taking us on a journey through tempo and style.

Samurai Breaks is no stranger to the rave scene, the multifaceted producer has been tearing up dance floors and festivals around the country with his unique style of turbo rave. Samurai Breaks’ vast discography includes releases on Off Me Nut Records, Hoover Sound, Trax Haven, The Dreamers and Hardcore Energy.
Mr. Breaks is also the joint founder of ‘Super Sonic Booty Bangers’ a platform used to push the 160bpm sound he is widely known for.
It's been a magical 2022 for Samurai Breaks, after winning DJ Mags Best Breakthrough Producer in 2021, he has been playing shows and festivals up and down the country every weekend, including stand out b2bs with Fixate / Mandidextrous / Pete Cannon/ Addison Groove / Itoa and Mixtress as well as notable sets at Boomtown, Glastonbury, Beatherder and Balter. Now the final cherry on a successful year comes in the form of OMW002.

The EPs counterpart, Arcane, has also been making waves in the UK underground scene, most notably with their intricate break science and dramatic atmospheres. Since dropping their first EP on Omerta in 2020, Arcane has gone on to release 2 records with Rua Sound, Defrostatica and a Collab EP with Samurai Breaks on Trax Haven. These tracks have picked up support from top names like Sherelle / Addison Groove / DjRum , Om Unit, Jon 1st and more. His first forays into the DJ world have seen him play at Beatherder festival, Bristol and recently his first international booking playing out in Ireland with Rua Sound alongside Sully / Itoa and Sun People.

Focusing on breaks, hardcore and of course acid this mix is truly one for the dancing cru. An exciting listen which takes you on a musical journey through a load of fresh and old bangers.
