almost too well produced but then iv listened to the live set loads, downloaded it (youtuberip) but on this, performances are excellent but its like the top ends exclusively for the backing vocals and the bottom totally consumed by the bass, which is the way it SHOULD be but it almost feels as if its been pushed too far like i would be interested to hear preliminary pre compression ruff mixes cos i get the feeling i would prefer them, or maybe i'm just a live junkie

ahhh the bass solo is cool, love the tunes... Green fest on Saturday I believe? Aaaaaye see yous there.

Power To The People

‘Too Good’ is the latest single from multi-instrumentalist Mr.
Blazey, dropping on 22nd October via Triptik Records.

With ‘Too Good’ the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK based multi-instrumentalist
throws North Indian, Soul, Dub and Hip-Hop music into the mix, spawning his
first lead vocal track without a collaborator, which reflects missed
opportunities and encourages listeners that life is too short not to take risks.
Made up of short recordings of Blazey playing around with his instrument
collection, incorporating a half sized sitar as well as some home made
percussion instruments, the track draws a sample-based collage aesthetic
without actually sampling anyone else’s records.

Remixes come courtesy of SeePM, Debain Blak, James Joys and label boss Tim Shaw.   

Too Good (Original Mix)

Reclyne is a new compilation of eclectic, genre-bending electronica compiled and mixed by Trafik who cut their teeth in eclectic mixes as compilers and mixers of Global Underground's seminal mix series 'Afterhours' of which Pete Tong and William Orbit are very vocal fans.

Released through acclaimed record label Triptik this compilation showcases the strength of the North East UK electronic music scene via 17 tracks of electric calm and instrumental hip hop courtesy of the regions finest beat-makers and artists including Mr. Blazey, Verso, Trafik and Hattie Murdoch, amongst others.

The album is available both mixed by the acclaimed DJ duo Trafik as well as an unmixed version and can be purchased as a digital download. There is also a bespoke limited edition handmade physical copy of the mixed version; this carefully curated collection goes far beyond your average label sampler.
