Blank Space ft. Alex Farmiga

Hey! Hope you like the remake. It's so nice that Soundcloud doesn't have a word limit on descriptions, because I get to waste space with things like these first few sentences.
There's a lot that I feel I should explain in regards to this. Of course, it's a remake of a song I did a year ago, but it's also a beginning, as well as a goodbye. 
This song is the beginning of an arc for a very important character in the overall VIRUS story. You may be wondering who the character in the cover art is. She goes by Zero, and this song starts her development as the main protagonist. I've done so much building up this villain character of Demon Child, it was high time I introduce the hero. 
Edge Of the Blade is the direct sequel to "Reaching Out", which is a short webcomic I did to more fully explain Zero's origins, as well as answer some other questions and do some worldbuilding for the rest of VIRUS. Don't worry, this song didn't spoil the entirety of that series if you haven't read it yet. You can find it on my review website and catch up if you want.

But yes, this is also a goodbye. Not a permanent one. VIRUS has gotten onto a bit of an incline recently, so it would be ridiculous to quit now. But this is the last song before I go on hiatus. I've been using Bandlab to create my music up until now, and recently I got FL Studio, which is a massive upgrade. The problem is, I've been having a hard time putting my dedication into fully learning FL Studio whilst regularly making music with Bandlab simultaneously. So I wanted to go out with a bang, and bringing back a song that has a special place in my heart, such as Edge Of The Blade, was the best way to do that, in my opinion. 
So don't expect a lot in terms of music for a while, but I might still try to do more things like "Reaching Out", or maybe create some new artwork. VIRUS is not going away. I'm just doing what I need to make it grow and excel like I know it can. 
To close this off, I want to thank everyone who has taken part in this journey with me. Everyone who's listened and reposted, and everyone I've had the honor of collaborating with, you helped make VIRUS happen, and I can't to see what we do together in the future. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I'll see you all later. :)

Can you even remember what you were supposed to do today? What you needed to accomplish to keep yourself stable for the week? I bet your eyes a little tired right now, don't they? You feel yourself withering, and at the same time, itching to move, everything inside of you screaming in agony, telling you that something beautiful lies beyond this room you find yourself stuck in. But you're not stuck, are you? You chose this, and now, you can't get enough. Even when your systems start to fail, you infuse yourself with all the chemicals and plastic and alterations you can pull together just so you can push the numbers up that tiny bit higher. People, real people, don't even recognize you anymore. They don't want to. You're a shell of someone better, but you don't care, do you? No. Why would it matter? Why face reality when you can play this game, and have all the fun in the world?
