Velvet

Sometimes, when everything seems overwhelming, I find peace and serenity in playing seemingly random notes on various instruments simultaneously. These songs evoke the ambiance of the time when the first humans visited the moon, particularly at Mare Tranquillitatis (Latin for "Sea of Tranquility"), a lunar mare located within the Tranquillitatis basin. This mare is distinguished by a slight bluish tint compared to the rest of the Moon.

A carefully curated selection of images and dirty loops, this first release in the series is a compilation containing work by close friends and admired fellow creatives.  So with a love for the tangible, the compilation will be available on both limited 10" Vinyl & CD.

Toro y Moi's 'Live From Trona' documents a special concert in the middle of the Mojave Desert in April 2016, recorded live beneath the geological wonders known as the Trona Pinnacles. The album features unique live arrangements of songs from across the band’s catalog, new music, and an expanded band line-up. 

'Live From Trona' will be released on August 5th. The limited edition pink vinyl will be released on November 4th.
