Lost in Music and Each Other

Recorded on an iPhone (again😭) - think of this more of a podcast than a demo ~ Making a song is so beautiful and fun, but it’s very time consuming, specific, and hard. Every day is a new energy, and to be able to harmonize and express it accurately with someone else takes a lot of concentration. We were jamming/recording for 2 hours and it took me 3 hours to put together and mix even though it was all recorded on one phone microphone. There are a lot of takes and plenty of mistakes. I hope you can appreciate the process and energy it took for us to express our vibrations ^_^

How to Make a Song

7 months and 27 days I’ve been playing the drums as of making this freestyle. All of our emotions during a tough time in my life combine for a 28 minute explosion of energy and release. I learned so much about myself as a person, my spirit, how to express myself, and my instrument during this one freestyle. There are so many beautiful sounds, parts I experiment on, places I’ve never gone before, hiccups, harsh feelings I faced, harmonizations with myself and everyone else. We all mess up a lot lol but I find it very endearing because it truly reflects life as a whole in my opinion. I was so sweaty and tired, sometimes my leg was tired, my fingers burned, and I was out of breath. But just like in real life, I pushed through with my all during the tough times. This, so far, truly is the best feat I’ve ever done on the drums, and the most I’ve ever harmonized with other people before in any song, freestyle, or performance. I hope you enjoy the song, it’s meant to either be listened to with headphones and full attention, or played as background music throughout the day. It serves me as a reminder of the beauty of life and the gift of being able to live even through the toughest of times. Thank you for stopping by <3 (Recorded on iPhone)
