HAPPY ACCIDENTS!

Bear with me, everyone. This is so very important to me.

Rumors can destroy. Media is so powerful. 

We live in a world of human beings, surrounded by others who judge relentlessly, often while (and likely, for the sole purpose of) ignoring our own faults and mistakes.  Redemption doesn’t exist when we’re all fucked up. From Tupac to Michael Jackson, we still have yet to change.

I recorded this song 3 months ago for a man, about my age. He was an artist, and was killed yesterday. He was one of the biggest influences to my work/sound and I wanted SO badly to work with him one day, and now I’ll never get the chance. He dedicated his life to music and self-improvement, yet even in death he receives backlash for alleged actions from his past. I recorded this not for a monster, and not for a paragon of idol worship. I recorded it for a man.

This is about love and forgiveness, not malice and hatred. This is for the legacy of someone who gave countless hours to charity and used his music as a platform to spread a message of love and peace. To all who jump to the internet to throw dirt on the name of a man shot dead who worked his ass off to better the world despite his past, I only pray the same never happens to you.

I pray your skeletons never come to light. I pray you are never judged by and entire world with a half story. That your intentions and avatar are received by all, instead of the human being that we desperately try to bury deep down so nobody will see.


But it probably will. Because the world isn’t fair.

RIP Jahseh, and thank you for everything. Faults and all.
